Abstract:
A medication delivery system having a holding chamber capable of delivering dosages of medicament from a metered dose inhaler. The holding chamber includes an actuator detector, flow detector and display. In another embodiment, a medication delivery system includes a holding chamber having an input and an output end, a metered dose inhaler operably coupled to the input end of the holding chamber, and a metered dose inhaler identifier associated with the holding chamber and operable to identify the metered dose inhaler coupled to the holding chamber.
Abstract:
An oscillating positive expiratory pressure device comprising a housing enclosing at least one chamber, a chamber inlet configured to receive exhaled air into the at least one chamber, and a chamber outlet configured to permit exhaled air to exit the at least one chamber. A channel is positioned in an exhalation flow path between the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet, with the channel being moveably connected to a chamber of the at least one chamber. An air flow regulator is moveable with respect to the channel between a first position, where the flow of air through the channel is restricted and a second position, where the flow of air through the channel is less restricted, the air flow regulator being configured to repeatedly move between the first position and the second position in response to a flow of exhaled air.
Abstract:
An indicating device includes a first housing component adapted to be mounted to a container and a second housing component moveably connected to the first housing component. The second housing component is moveable relative to the first housing component along an axial path. The second housing component includes an exposed actuation surface having a substantially convex domed shape. The exposed actuation surface of the second housing component can include a lubricant. A method of actuating an indicating device is also provided.

Abstract:
A respiratory device comprising a housing enclosing a chamber and an orientation indicator moveable with respect to the housing between a first position indicative of an orientation of the housing predetermined to be suitable for operation of the respiratory device, and a second position indicative of an orientation of the respiratory device predetermined to be less suitable for operation of the respiratory device. The orientation indicator is positioned in a location on the respiratory device visible to a user during the operation of the respiratory device.
Abstract:
An elastomeric component includes a body feature and a retaining feature coupled to the body feature. The retaining feature includes an insertion end portion, and a retention end portion spaced apart from the insertion end portion along a longitudinal axis. The insertion end portion defines a catch spaced apart from the retention end portion and having a contact location adapted to make first contact with an edge of a retaining hole. The contact location is spaced apart from the catch a first distance. The retaining feature has a blind pocket extending from the retention end portion interiorly of the retaining feature along the longitudinal axis. The blind pocket terminates at an end location spaced from the catch. The elastomeric component may be coupled to a wall defining the retaining hole. Methods of assembly, and an apparatus for installation, are also provided.

Abstract:
A delivery assembly for dispensing a medicament from a container includes a dispenser housing having a longitudinally extending peripheral wall defining an interior surface. A container includes a canister having first and second ends and an exterior surface spaced from the interior surface of the dispenser housing so as to form a gap therebetween. A dose indicator is disposed on the second end of the canister and includes dosage indicia. A sleeve is disposed over the dose indicator and includes a longitudinally extending wall disposed in the gap between the interior surface of the dispenser housing and the exterior surface of the canister. The sleeve is reciprocally moveable relative to the canister and to the dispenser housing. A medicament delivery kit, a method of dispensing medicament from a medicament delivery device and a method of assembling a medicament delivery device also are provided.
