    摘要： An image forming device for printing a page which incorporates content data acquired from a reference destination, capable of starting printing earlier. A display analyzing section (33) analyzes a printing document and lays out a document element for tentative page dividing. In the laying out, for a document element whose content data needs to be acquired from a reference destination, a tentative size is used and, for a document element having content data of a known rendering size, the rendering size is used. A document manager (45) monitors a state of acquisition of the content data and instructs a rendering section (34), upon detection of completion of acquisition of content data to be laid out on a first page, to render the image of the page.

    摘要： An UI section accepts operation of a user. A setting selection section judges as to whether this user operation instructs a process operation executed in accordance with setting information of an IC chip attached to an original document, or another process operation executed in accordance with setting information entered by the user. In the former case, an operation control section controls a data reading section so as to read out the setting information from the IC chip attached to the original document, and also, controls a print control section to perform printing/FAX transforming operations in accordance with this read setting information. In the latter case, an operation control section controls a data writing section in order to write the setting information entered by the user into the IC chip.

    摘要： An apparatus for recognizing characters includes a text structure analyzing unit that analyzes an input image of text composed of mixed typed and handwritten characters and separates the input text image into predefined text imaging regions, a character clipping unit that clips characters one by one in each of the text imaging regions separated by the text structure analyzing unit, a feature vectors calculating unit that calculates feature vectors of the clipped characters for each of the text imaging regions, a feature vectors aggregating unit that aggregates the calculated feature vectors over a predefined range of the input text image, and a typed and handwritten character separation unit that separates characters involved in the input text image into the typed characters and the handwritten characters, based on a result of the aggregation by the feature vectors aggregating unit.
