摘要: A back plate is biased radially inward of a disc rotor by a spring, engaged at two locations on a torque reception surface with a caliper support shaft, and engaged at one location on a torque reception surface with a caliper support shaft. Inner and outer shims are disposed toward a back plate and pistons, respectively, and a friction factor between the back plate and the inner shim and that between the pistons and the outer shim are higher than that between the inner and outer shims. The inner shim is movable with the back plate in radial and circumferential directions and is movable relative to the back plate in the axial direction, and the outer shim is movable with the back plate in radial and circumferential directions, is movable relative to the back plate in the axial direction, and is rotatable about the radially inner support shaft axis.

摘要: In a multilayer optical disc having information layers conforming to a plurality of different optical disc standards, because the type of each information layer is not recorded in the other information layers, in read and write operations by a compatible optical disc device conforming to a plurality of optical disc standards, every time the information layer being accessed changes, it has been necessary to read the type of the information layer and select a method of generating a tracking error signal adapted to the type of information layer, so access has taken time. In order to solve the above problem, in the optical multilayer disc according to the present invention, having information layers conforming to a plurality of different optical disc standards, in an area in one of the information layers, information about the other information layers is recorded. The time required to access the other information layers can be reduced by using this information to select a tracking error signal generating method.

摘要: A first leakage current value output from each signal line is stored in a storage unit, with a charge corresponding to an emitted radiation being held in a radiographic image detector, when the radiation is uniformly emitted to the radiographic image detector. A second leakage current value is acquired which is output from each signal line, with a charge corresponding to the radiation dose being held in the radiographic image detector, when the radiation passing through an object is emitted to the radiographic image detector. When the first and second leakage current values are equal to each other for each line corresponding to each signal line, all pixels on the line are determined to belong to a background area (lines A and C). When the second leakage current value is smaller than the first leakage current value and larger than a predetermined value, it is determined that there are the object areas and the background areas on the line (lines B, D, and E), and the total number of pixels in the background area on the line is calculated from the ratio of the first leakage current value to the second leakage current value. In this way, the distribution of the object area and the background area in the image which is held in the radiographic image detector when the radiation passing through the object is emitted is estimated before the reading of the image from the radiographic image detector is completed.

摘要: A recording medium (100) for a reservation of video recording of a program holds encoded compressed video information (1531) related to the program, a reservation set command (331) for setting a reservation of the program, and program attribute information (323) including at least a video recording reservation start date and time. When a viewer makes a selection to set a reservation of video recording while watching a preview video (200) based on the encoded compressed video information of the recording medium in a video recording/reproducing apparatus, the video recording/reproducing apparatus acquires the program attribute information (332) in accordance with the reservation set command (331) in the recording medium (100), thereby setting a reservation of video recording. Thus, there in no need of manual operation for inputting information required for setting a reservation of video recording and it is possible to easily set a reservation of video recording of the program while watching and listening to program-related information.

摘要: A solid state radiation detector provided with sub-stripe electrodes, which is capable of reading out stored charges efficiently. A first conductive layer, a recording photoconductive layer, a charge transport layer, a reading photoconductive layer, a second conductive layer provided with stripe electrodes composed of a large number of linear elements and sub-stripe electrodes composed of a large number of linear elements, an insulating layer, and a support body are arranged in accordance with the order listed above, light-shielding films are provided on portions on the support body, which correspond to the sub-stripe electrodes and the spaces between the stripe electrodes and the sub-stripe electrodes, and thus a solid state radiation detector is constituted. In this case, when a pair of the stripe electrode and the sub-strip electrode is defined as one cycle, the cycle is set to range from 10 μm through 150 μm.
