Abstract: A hole saw includes a base member configured to secure the hole saw to a drive device and a blade member extending orthogonally from each side of the base member. Each blade member is configured having respective distal ends that flex transversely to a longitudinal cutting direction of the blade member. Responsive to rotational movement of the hole saw via the drive device against a structure, a medial location of each blade member creates an initial respective linear cutting path into the structure, and further movement of the respective blade members into the structure cause the distal ends of the respective blade members to flex transversely to the cutting direction and follow the initial linear cutting path despite the rotational movement of the hole saw relative to the structure to produce a linear cut through the structure.

Abstract: This invention relates to apparatus for use with a sterilant vapour generator used for sterilising an enclosure, said apparatus providing means for enhancing the distribution of the sterilant vapour in the enclosure during a gassing phase of the sterilisation process and for removing the sterilant vapour from the air in the enclosure during a subsequent aeration phase. The apparatus can optionally be configured to provide humidification, if required. The invention therefore comprises means for the distribution of sterilant vapour in the enclosure during a gassing phase of the sterilisation process and means for removing the sterilant from the air in the enclosure during an aeration phase.

Abstract: A process of enzymatic degumming edible oils, comprising treating edible oil with a lipid acyltransferase so as to transfer an acyl group from a major part of the phospholipid to one or more acyl acceptors, wherein the acyl acceptor may be any compound comprising a hydroxyl group. In one embodiment preferably the acyl acceptor is water and in another embodiment preferably the acyl acceptor is one or more sterols and/or stanols. When the acyl acceptor is a stanol and/or sterol, one or more sterol esters and/or stanol esters are produced. The lipid acyltransferase for use in the process of the present invention may comprise one or more of the following amino acid sequences: SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 7, SEQ ID NO: 8, SEQ ID NO: 9, SEQ ID NO: 10, SEQ ID NO: 11, SEQ ID NO: 12, SEQ ID NO: 13, SEQ ID NO: 14, or SEQ ID NO: 15, SEQ ID NO: 16, SEQ ID NO: 17, SEQ ID NO: 18, SEQ ID NO: 36, SEQ ID NO: 38, SEQ ID NO: 40, SEQ ID NO: 41, SEQ ID NO: 45, SEQ ID NO: 47, SEQ ID NO: 50 or an amino acid sequence which has 75% or more identity thereto. A novel lipid acyltransferase comprising the amino acid sequence shown as SEQ ID NO: 16 is also taught.

Abstract: A method of providing a viscous emulsion at a subterranean location accessible via a wellbore, begins by providing an aqueous/aqueous emulsion comprising two aqueous solutions which, at surface temperature and pressure, are able to co-exist as separate aqueous phases in contact with each other. The two phases contain respective solutes which are sufficiently incompatible that they cause phase separation. The dispersed phase is rich in one solute, which may be a thickening polymer, while continuous phase is rich in a second solute, which may comprise surfactant. A hydrophobic liquid is dispersed in this emulsion to become the dispersed phase of a viscous emulsion whose continuous phase is provided by the aqueous/aqueous emulsion. The hydrophobic liquid and the aqueous/aqueous emulsion may be pumped separately down the wellbore to the subterranean location, and allowed to mix there so as to form the viscous emulsion at the subterranean location. On mixing, surfactant from the aqueous/aqueous emulsion may migrate to the oil/water interface, allowing the aqueous phases to become one phase with the result that the emulsion is further thickened by any thickening polymer in its composition. Even more thickening can be achieved by crosslinking the thickening polymer.
