摘要: An electrical power and/or electronic data unit is mountable in a floor, and is fitted with an upper bezel that is openable and closable to provide selective access to an interior of the unit, which is optionally fitted with one or more electrical power or data outlets. A lower insert including an intumescent block is supported below an upper housing, and is angularly adjustable relative to the upper housing. One or more bores or openings formed in the lower insert allow the passage of cords into a pass-through opening in the upper housing, and out through an upper bezel cover.

摘要: A portable tower with electrical capability includes a housing with base, central, and upper housing portions, and with electrical power and/or data outlets including at least one outlet at either or both of the upper and lower housing portions. The central housing portion projects upwardly from the base housing portion and supports the upper housing portion at an elevated position spaced above the base housing portion. The electrical power and/or data outlets are in electrical communication with a power or data source, such as a remote source or an onboard source as in a rechargeable battery or capacitor. Where an onboard source is provided, the portable tower is positionable in substantially any desired location and is capable of providing electrical power to other devices when there is sufficient energy stored in the onboard source.

摘要: A twist-lock electrical connector includes first and second connector portions each having a respective interface end portion and longitudinal axes. The first connector has a projection and the second connector has a corresponding bore along the connectors' respective longitudinal axes. Two electrical contacts are located at opposite sides of the projection at the first interface end portion, and two other electrical contacts are located at opposite sides of the bore at the second interface end portion. The interface end portions are configured to engage one another at a first rotational orientation in which the bore receives the projection when the first and second longitudinal axes are made substantially coaxial and the connector portions are brought together along their axes. The interface end portions further engage one another at a second rotational orientation in which the first pair of electrical contacts electrically engage the second pair of electrical contacts.

摘要: An electrical outlet assembly is mountable in a floor or work surface, and includes an upper bezel and a lower insert that are joined in a non-rigid manner that permits some adjustment to the spacing and/or tilt of the upper bezel relative to the lower insert. The upper bezel and lower insert are joined together by a plurality of fasteners extending between a plurality of fastener receivers coupled to the upper bezel, and to the lower insert. At least one end of each coupling fastener is loosely captured in such a way that when the coupling fasteners are fully secured, they are permitted to move axially relative to the fastener receiver or the lower insert. This allows the lower insert to be repositionable in its axial direction relative to the upper bezel, and also permits the lower insert to be tilted out of alignment with the upper bezel.

摘要: A rotatable power center is configured for installation along a work surface or the like, and includes an outer housing and a pivotable inner housing having one or more electrical or data outlets. The inner housing is positionable between a use position in which the outlets are accessible along the work surface, and a non-use position in which the outlets are generally not accessible. The outer housing defines an upper opening through which different surfaces of the inner housing are exposed or accessible, depending on the inner housing position. Spindles or spindle caps are used to pivotable mount the inner housing to the outer housing, and may also serve to secure two inner housing pieces together. A separate latch may be provided to secure the inner housing at the use or non-use position. Optionally, a detent arrangement holds the inner housing at the use or non-use position.
