    摘要: The present invention relates to photochromic benzopyrans and to the use thereof in plastics of all kinds, especially for ophthalmic purposes. The inventive compounds are photochromic benzopyran compounds in which a polycyclic aromatic is joined to the 5 and 6 positions of a benzopyran, where the bond in the 6 position is direct and the bond in the 5 position is via a mono- or diatomic bridge.

    摘要: The present invention relates to photochromic 2H-naphtho[1,2-b]pyrans as well as their use in synthetic resins of all types, especially for ophthalmic purposes. In particular, the present invention relates to photochromic naphthopyran compounds, for which a further ring system is bonded to the f side of the naphthopyran. The inventive photochromic dyes generally have the general formula (I) wherein n, R1, R2, R3, X, B and B′ are defined as in claim 1. The inventive compounds are distinguished by good darkening and decolorizing properties and a very good service life.

    摘要: A photochromic plastic object which is composed of a transparent polymeric synthetic resin material, into or onto which at least one substantially mesoporous inorganic host structure is introduced or applied containing one or more embedded organic photochromic dye molecules so as to form a photochromic nanocomposite material. In contrast to prior techniques of adding or applying the photochromic organic dyes to the monomer mixture or prepolymer of a transparent synthetic resin material in a molecular form, in the photochromic plastic article of the present invention color is generated by using the photochromic nanocomposite particles or photochromic nanocomposite structures.

    摘要: An anti-reflection film for a clearly transparent optical element consisting of an organic material, for example an ophthalmic spectacle lens, is described. The anti-reflection film comprises a number of layers of which at least one consists of a metallic oxide. In one version of this invention, at least one layer consists of erbium oxide, terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide or holmium oxide. In another version of this invention, one layer consisting of samarium oxide, europium oxide, neodymium oxide or ytterbium oxide with a thickness of lambda/10 to lambda/20 is provided. In a third version of this invention, one layer consisting of yttrium oxide is deposited by evaporation on a layer of silicon dioxide, where the latter is deposited directly on the optical element consisting of an organic material.
