    Abstract: A sandwich maker includes a lower baking plate, a baking ring, an upper baking plate, a partition, and a heat insulation ring. The partition can be pulled out through a handle to separate the partition together with the heat insulation ring from the baking ring, so that the interiors of the lower baking plate, the baking ring and the upper baking plate communicate with each other. The sandwich maker can separate the ingredients for cooking and can directly assemble the ingredients to form a sandwich. The removed partition can be easily placed through the heat insulation ring without worrying that the partition may damage a tabletop.

    Abstract: This invention generally relates to a composition and method of using recombinant microRNAs (miRNA) and their hairpin-like precursors (pre-miRNA) as therapeutic drugs for treating Alzheimer's diseases (AD). More specifically, the present invention relates to the use of man-made miRNA miR-302 precursors (pre-miR-302) for AD therapy in humans. These pre-miR-302 molecules can be mass produced in prokaryotes as a form of DNA expression-competent DNA vectors and/or hairpin-like RNAs. As prokaryotic cells do not transcribe or process hairpin-like RNAs, the present invention also teaches a method for expressing pre-miRNAs in prokaryotes, i.e. pro-miRNA, using a novel hairpin-like RNA transcription mechanism newly found in prokaryotes. Additionally, since miR-302 is a well-known embryonic stem cell (ESC)-specific factor in humans, our novel findings of this invention can be further used to advance the designs and development of novel regenerative medicine for treating many other ageing-related degenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's diseases, osteoporosis, diabetes, and cancers.

    Abstract: A flameless candle with integrated fountain device includes a container, having an accommodation space therein, a bottom of the container having a bottom plate adjacent to the accommodation space, an opening being disposed opposite the bottom plate and communicated with the accommodation space; a tube, located in the accommodation space, the tube having an inlet end and an outlet end, the outlet end being relatively higher than the inlet end; a pump motor, communicated with the accommodation space and the inlet end of the tube; a light-emitting member, configured to emit light to pass through the opening of the accommodation space; and an atomizer, adjacent to the outlet end of the tube. In addition to water flow and a change of light and shadow, the flameless candle also provides a misty effect generated by the atomizer.

    Abstract: A plant-growing lamp capable of effecting a change in local environment includes a container, a lampshade with a fixing space, a lighting unit, a water supply unit, a power supply unit, and a sensor. The container is provided with a receiving space, a water storage space, and a loudspeaker. The lighting unit is provided with a circuit board, which has two sides respectively provided with first and second light-emitting elements and can drive the first and second light-emitting elements to emit light of different colors and of different wavelengths respectively. The water supply unit includes a pipe with a water outlet end facing the receiving space. The power supply unit supplies electricity to the loudspeaker, the lighting unit, the water supply unit, and the sensor. The sensor triggers the loudspeaker, the lighting unit, and the water supply unit to generate a simulated weather condition when sensing an approaching person.

    Abstract: A flameless candle device with a fountain includes a container, a light-emitting member, and a pump motor. The container has an outer wall to surround an accommodation space. The accommodation space is divided into a first half portion and a second half portion by a partition. The first half portion is in communication with the second half portion through an opening. The partition has a flange thereon. The accommodation space is adapted to accommodate a fluid, such as water. The light-emitting member is located in the accommodation space. The pump motor is in communication with the first half portion and the second half portion. When the pump motor is activated, the water flows from the first half portion to the second half portion, alternatively, from the second half portion to the first half portion. The present invention provides an illumination effect as well as visual and auditory enjoyments.

The present subject matter includes a hearing assistance device transducer barrier device configured to resist accumulation and passage of foreign materials, the barrier device comprising a plug adapted to fit within a receiver opening. In various embodiments, the plug includes a membrane that is coated with oleophobic and hydrophobic materials, the membrane adapted to include an aperture, wherein the barrier is acoustically transparent but prevents the accumulation and passage of unwanted materials. Other barriers, such as a plug with a plurality of holes are described. In some embodiments a molded plastic plug including a plurality of holes provides the barrier.

Various embodiments include an apparatus including a receiver case configured to house a hearing assistance device receiver, the receiver case including a spherical receiver spout having an opening.
