Abstract:
Disclosed are a processor and processing method that provide non-hierarchical computer security enhancements for context states. The processor can comprise a context control unit that uses context identifier tags associated with corresponding contexts to control access by the contexts to context information (i.e., context states) contained in the processor's non-stackable and/or stackable registers. For example, in response to an access request, the context control unit can grant a specific context access to a register only when that register is tagged with a specific context identifier tag. If the register is tagged with another context identifier tag, the contents of the specific register are saved in a context save area of memory and the previous context states of the specific context are restored to the specific register before access can be granted. The context control unit can also provide such computer security enhancements while still facilitating authorized cross-context and/or cross-level communications.
Abstract:
Antimicrobial agents and methods for the abatement of food borne pathogenic organisms—particularly, Escherichia coli—include the steps of providing a specifically formulated humic composition and, thereafter, applying the humic composition as an antimicrobial agent for the abatement of Escherichia coli. In at least some applications of the present invention, other substances are introduced in combination with the humic composition thereby synergistically providing in certain applications a greater effect than otherwise independently obtainable.
Abstract:
Stabilized whole grain flours having a fine particle size and which exhibit good baking functionality are produced with high throughput using two bran and germ fractions and an endosperm fraction. One bran and germ fraction is a coarse fraction which is subjected to two stage grinding, but the second bran and germ fraction is a low ash, fine bran and germ fraction which is sufficiently fine so that it does not need to be subjected to grinding thereby reducing starch damage and increasing production with reduced grinding equipment load. Portions of the coarse bran and germ fraction which are ground in the first grinding stage to a sufficient fineness are separated out and not subjected to additional grinding further reducing starch damage and increasing production. The bran and germ fractions may be combined, subjected to stabilization, and combined with the endosperm fraction to obtain a stabilized whole grain flour.
Abstract:
A stabilized flour, such as stabilized whole grain wheat flour, exhibiting unexpectedly superior extended shelf life and superior biscuit baking functionality, may be produced with or without heating to inhibit lipase by subjecting whole grains or a bran and germ fraction or component to treatment with a lipase inhibitor, such as an acid or green tea extract. Treatment with the lipase inhibitor may be performed during tempering of the whole grains or berries or during hydration of the bran and germ fraction or component.
Abstract:
An authoring component determines the sensitivity of an authored document and generates a user interface conveying contextual educational information about data dissemination policies that apply to the document. The user interface also provides user input mechanisms that allow the user to provide inputs affect the enforcement of a given data dissemination policy on the document.
Abstract:
A stabilized bran component and a stabilized whole grain flour containing the component are produced by subjecting a bran-enriched coarse fraction which contains bran, germ and starch to grinding or milling to reduce grittiness of the coarse fraction without substantially damaging the starch due to abrasion. The coarse fraction may be stabilized by heating to substantially reduce the lipase and lipoxygenase activity of the coarse fraction without substantial gelatinization of the starch. High levels of natural antioxidants and vitamins are retained while avoiding substantial acrylamide formation during the stabilization. The stabilized coarse fraction or stabilized bran component may be combined with a fine fraction which contains predominantly endosperm to obtain a stabilized whole grain flour. The stabilized whole grain flours and the stabilized bran component exhibit extended shelf life and may be used for making baked goods, such as cookies, with desirable oven spread, and a non-gritty mouthfeel.

Abstract:
An identity and authentication platform utilizes a data model that enables multiple identities such as e-mail addresses, mobile phone numbers, nicknames, gaming IDs, and other user IDs to be utilized as aliases which are unique sub-identities of a main account name. A user may utilize the aliases supported by the platform to project multiple different on-line identities while using the authentication credentials of the main account. The platform is configured to expose the aliases to various client applications and Internet-accessible sites and services such as e-mail, instant messaging, media sharing, gaming and social networks, and the like, to enable the implementation of a variety of usage scenarios that employ aliases.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a frame; a member movable relative to said frame; a damping device interconnected between the frame and the movable member; a controller for activating the damper to generate a damping condition at a predetermined member operating condition; and system for activating the damping device at a predetermined operating condition of the moving member during a loss of power to the apparatus. The damping device may comprise a field controllable damper that includes a volume of field controllable fluid, which may in turn comprise magnetorheological fluid for example. The rheology of the field controllable fluid is effected during the application of the field.
