The jet aerator is disposed in the membrane bioreactor and includes a water inlet, a pump disposed below a liquid surface of the membrane bioreactor, an air inlet pipe whose air inlet is disposed above the liquid surface of the membrane bioreactor, and a jet pipe having a jet nozzle. The air supply pipe includes a connector; and the connector of the air supply pipe is connected to the jet nozzle of the jet pipe of the jet aerator. A method of using the jet aeration apparatus is also provided. The jet aeration apparatus is easy to install, quiet in operation, and features a high degree of integration.
Abstract:
A method for forming a facultative-organism-adapted membrane bioreactor by: providing a membrane bioreactor having a membrane module, aerating intensively the membrane module at a lower part thereof and maintaining the scouring against the membrane module so that an aerobic environment is formed at a middle and lower part of the membrane module, and controlling aeration intensity so that a facultative or anaerobic environment is formed around the membrane module excluding the middle and lower part thereof. The a facultative-organism-adapted membrane bioreactorformed by the method has low energy consumption, low sludge yield coefficient, and high efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus removal.
Abstract:
A method for removing phosphorus having steps of a) providing a membrane bioreactor having a membrane module having a lower part; b) aerating intensively the lower part of the membrane module while controlling dissolved oxygen concentration around the membrane module at more than 2 mg/L and dissolved oxygen concentration in the rest zone at less than 1 mg/L so as to form an aerobic zone, a facultative aerobic zone, and an anaerobic zone; and c) introducing sludge having a concentration of between 10,000 mg/L and 30,000 mg/L and having an organic loading of between 0.08 and 0.07 Kg (COD)/(Kg (MLSS)·d) into the membrane reactor so that phosphorus is absorbed in the aerobic zone, released in the facultative aerobic zone, and reduced by phosphine-reducing bacteria into phosphine. The method for removing phosphorus does not include discharging sludge. An apparatus employed for the process does not take up much additional space.
Abstract:
A two dimensional collimator assembly and method of manufacturing thereof is disclosed. The collimator assembly includes a wall structure constructed to form a two dimensional array of channels to collimate x-rays. The wall structure further includes a first portion positioned proximate the object to be scanned and configured to absorb scattered x-rays and a second portion formed integrally with the first portion and extending out from the first portion away from the object to be scanned. The first portion of the wall structure has a height greater than a height of the second portion of the wall structure. The second portion of the wall structure includes a reflective material coated thereon in each of the channels forming the two dimensional array of channels.
Abstract:
In the present invention, an improved planetary gearset which reduces the amount of vibration transferred from the planetary gearset to a housing. The present invention is a new way to interface the ring gear of a planetary gearset with the housing by incorporating a series of lugs around the ring gear and adjusting the number of lugs and the size and the shape of the lugs. The distribution of these lugs affects the sound levels transferred from the planetary gearset. Additionally, multiple rows of lugs can also be strategically arranged on one ring gear to gain further noise and vibration improvement.

Abstract:
A method for treatment of sludge with a facultative-organism-adapted membrane bioreactor by providing a sludge treatment system comprising a facultative digestion tank, a membrane module, an aeration system, a sludge pump, and a drainage pump, pumping sludge into the facultative digestion tank via the sludge pump and allowing for digestion, synchronously aerating and scouring the membrane module by the aeration system, pumping the sludge by the drainage pump and filtrating by the membrane module so that sludge and water are separated, and draining the water via the drainage pump. The method can digest sludge completely in the digestion tank, and solves problems existing in conventional sludge treatment methods such as large investment and high transportation cost, even achieves a subject of zero discharge of sludge.

Abstract:
An X-ray sensitive coating (22) for a flat panel direct conversion X-ray detector for medical or industrial imaging. A composite particle-in-binder (PIB) material (22) may contain X-ray photoconductive particles (23) such as PbO (lead monoxide) in a binder of polyimide (23). This PIB material may be prepared in precursor paste form, and applied as a coating (22) onto a thin film transistor array (26) having a storage capacitor (31) at each pixel (30). The coating (22) is cured, and an electrically conducting layer (34) is applied to the exposed surface of the coating (22), to provide a bias voltage. X-ray photons striking the photoconductive particles (23) cause localized electrical conduction proportional to the number of photons. This charges respective capacitors (31) that provide image data input to a computer.
