摘要： A communication support system includes a caller ID detection unit which detects a caller ID sent from a telephone network upon incoming of a call. A line switching unit switches on a first line between a voice signal path from a telephone set and a voice signal path from the telephone network before the connection between the telephone set and the telephone network is established. The line switching unit switches off the first line and switches on a second line between the voice signal path from the telephone set and a voice signal path from a data processing device after the caller ID is detected by the caller ID detection unit. The data processing device has a main control unit which retrieves a caller profile from a database in response to the caller ID detected by the caller ID detection unit, and transmits a. synthesized voice signal indicating the caller profile to the telephone set through the second line when the line switching unit switches on the second line.

摘要： A communication support system includes a switching unit which connects a telephone unit through a transmission path to a telephone network when the switching unit is set in a first state, and disconnects the telephone unit from the telephone network by cutting off the transmission path when the switching unit is set in a second state. A ringer detection unit detects a ringer signal from the telephone network. A determination unit determines, in response to the detection of the ringer signal, whether the switching unit is to be set in one of the first state and the second state in accordance with first switching control data. A switching control unit controls setting of the switching unit in one of the first state and the second state in response to a control signal, indicative of the determination, sent by the determination unit.

摘要： A communication support system includes a predetermined signal detection unit which detects a predetermined signal sent by a telephone unit when a telephone call between the telephone unit and a telephone network is in progress. A telephone condition detection unit detects a condition of the telephone unit. A line unit disconnects the telephone unit from the telephone network and connects the telephone unit to a data processing device when the predetermined signal is detected. A voice recognition unit determines which of a plurality of telephone services is indicated by a voice command signal sent by the telephone unit when the telephone unit is disconnected from the telephone network and connected to the data processing device.
