摘要: A chopper pump with scissoring back cutters and having a housing with an intake opening and an outlet opening, both in fluid communication with an internal chamber, and an impeller assembly positioned within the chamber, is disclosed. Generally speaking, the impeller assembly comprises an impeller attached to a rotatable pump shaft and includes a back shroud. An insert cutter positioned on a surface of the shroud opposite the impeller includes a cutting edge configured for shearing operation, while a stationary back plate having a surface adjacent to and facing the back shroud includes a cutting rib having a cutting edge configured for shearing operation. The insert cutter and cutting rib work jointly to create a cutting action as the impeller in the chamber.

摘要: A surface foam diffuser system having a first nozzle disposed above a top surface of the at least partially liquid contents, a splash plate positioned adjacent to the first nozzle outlet, and a second nozzle disposed below the top surface of the at least partially liquid contents is disclosed for suppressing foaming in large processing tanks. The system nozzles each have an inlet for receiving pressurized liquid and an outlet for ejecting a liquid stream into the tank, the depth of the second nozzle and the direction of the liquid stream there from being such that rotation of the top surface is facilitated. The spray of the first nozzle, as dispersed by the splash plate, reduces foam on at least a portion of the top surface, with the rotation of the top surface allowing each portion of the top surface to eventually fall within the reducing spray.

摘要: A mixing system for a fluid tank is described, the system having a drive motor, an impeller, a shroud enclosing the impeller and a cutter mounted on the shroud to cut solids. The shroud is open at inlet and discharge ends for drawing in and discharging fluid from the tank. A recess is provided on the internal surface of the shroud, wherein the cutter is adjustably positioned within the recess. The cutter is detachable from the recess to allow replacement. In use, homogeneity is maintained in a slurry contained within the tank by submerging the impeller such that the cutter cooperates with the impeller to cut solids within the slurry, drawing tank contents into the impeller at the inlet, cutting material between the cutter and blade, and then discharging the material.

摘要: A mixing system for a fluid tank is described herein, the system having a drive motor, an impeller capable of being submersed, a shroud having a sidewall enclosing the impeller, and a cutter mounted on the shroud and cooperating with a blade of the impeller to cut solids within the shroud. The shroud is open at both an inlet end and a discharge end for drawing in and discharging fluid from the tank. A recess is provided on the internal surface of the shroud, wherein the cutter is adjustably positioned within the recess. Additionally, the cutter is also detachable from the recess so that it may be replaced when worn. In use, homogeneity is maintained in a slurry contained within the tank by submerging an impeller into the slurry, the impeller being shrouded in a housing having an inlet opening and a discharge opening, securing a cutter on an internal surface of the housing such that during operation of the impeller the cutter cooperates with a blade of the impeller to cut solids within the slurry, drawing tank contents into the impeller at the inlet opening, cutting solid material in the drawn tank contents between the cutter and an impeller blade, and then discharging the drawn tank contents out the discharge opening back into the tank.
