A system and method is provided to manage wireless network mobility and wireless network resources. In one aspect of the invention, network equipment acquires samples associated with time that past user devices stayed in the coverage range of the network equipment and estimates a time that a user device currently stays in the cell based on the acquired samples. In another aspect, pre-authentication and pre-registration of the user device in another network are performed based on the estimated time. In yet another aspect, network resources reserved for the user device are released based on the estimated time.

Abstract:
A method for assessing bone status is disclosed. The method for assessing bone status comprises steps of: obtaining a chest radiograph, recognizing a target bone on the chest radiograph by active shape models, detecting edges of a cortical bone of the target bone by intelligent scissors, and calculating a parameter of bone status through the cortical bone. The present invention increases the diagnosis value of the chest radiography and provides a simple, economic, rapid and reliable assessment of bone status.
Abstract:
An apparatus dynamically assigns external home agent (HA) for VPNs and a method for the same is proposed. The apparatus establishes VPN between an internal network and at least one external network, whereby a mobile node (MN) can roam in the external network with security. The external HA closest to the MN in the visited external network is selected for mobility management of the MN. The MN only needs to register with the same external HA when roaming in the same external network. The handoff latency and end-to-end latency for a roaming MN, therefore, could be reduced significantly. It will also not reestablish the IPsec tunnel within the same external network.

A method and system for guaranteeing QoS between different radio networks is disclosed. The radio networks comprise a first network and a second network. The first network, operating in Diff-serv mode, comprises a user equipment (UE). The second network comprises an AAA server, a TTG, and a GGSN. In the method a request to the TTG is initialized by the UE. A first QoS parameter is mapped to an IP header by the UE, an authentication request is then sent to the AAA server. The first QoS parameter is mapped to a second QoS parameter, and a Create PDP context request is constructed with the second QoS parameter to the GGSN to request a PDP context and a GTP-U tunnel.
Abstract:
A roaming method for maintaining connectivity between a client and a server through heterogeneous wireless networks includes the steps of establishing an initial connection between the client and the server through a first selected one of the heterogeneous wireless networks, detecting disconnection of the initial connection, and establishing a current connection between the client and server through a second selected one of the heterogeneous wireless networks upon detecting that the initial connection has been disconnected. A system, which includes the client and the server, for realizing the roaming method is also disclosed.

A home agent (200) for registering with a serving node (400) in a home network (10) includes a packet filter module (210), an agent control module (220), and a registration module (240). The packet filter module detects a mobile registration packet transmitted from a mobile node (100) and informs the agent control module. The registration module registers with the serving node by transmitting a registration request packet when the agent control module is informed by the packet filter module. The registration request packet includes a home address field and a care-of address (CoA) field. The home address field is set to an Internet protocol (IP) address of the mobile node in the home network, and the CoA field is set to an IP address of the home agent. A registration method, a network system, and a network roaming method are also provided.
