The composition includes at least one polymer and a hypophosphite salt, wherein the hypophosphite salt is heat stabilized so that when it is heated for 3 hours at 298° C. under a flow of argon flushing at rate 58 mL/min, it generates less than 0.5 mL of phosphine per gram of hypophosphite salt. The flame retardant polymer composition can also include at least one additive that improves the flame retardant properties of the composition.

The device may include a conveying device for conveying the logs, a shielding structure surrounding the conveying device, and accelerators provided in the conveying path of the conveying device. Two or more accelerators may be provided in centrosymmetry about the conveying path.

A radiation inspection system is disclosed. The radiation inspection system comprises: an inspection passage through which a moving object under inspection can pass, a radiation source disposed on a side of the inspection passage for emitting radiation, an array of detectors disposed on the other side of the inspection passage opposite to the radiation source for receiving the radiation emitted from the radiation source, a detector for detecting the moving object, and a controller for receiving a signal from the detector and controlling the radiation source to emit radiation when the detector detects the moving object for radiation imaging and inspection of the moving object. According to the radiation inspection system, the controller can control the radiation source to automatically emit radiation beam based on the detection signal from the detector for inspecting the moving object. As a result, inspection efficiency is improved, safety is increased, and misoperation of the radiation source is eliminated.

The method comprises the steps of: causing multi-energy radiations to interact with an object under inspection; detecting and recording detection values after an interaction between the multi-energy radiations and the object under inspection; substituting a portion of the detection values into a predetermined calibration function to obtain information comprising primary material attribute; and determining further material attributes of the object by applying a set of functions suitable for a energy band corresponding to the information. The present invention is applicable to the large container cargo inspection without opening containers at customs, ports and airports.

The current invention relates to a process for stabilizing a hypophosphite salt, comprising the step of heating the hypophosphite salt at a temperature of between 150 and 370° C. during a sufficient period of time to prevent the formation of a dangerous quantity of phosphine in their application as FR in polymers and a flame retardant polymer composition comprising a polymer and 0.1 to 30 weight percent based on the total weight of the composition of the hypophosphite salt thermally stabilized by the above process.
