    摘要: Disclosed a high pressure discharge lamp driving apparatus for driving a high pressure discharge lamp during a stable operation thereof with an AC lamp current alternating for opposite half-cycle periods, the apparatus comprising an AC lamp current supply for supplying the AC lamp current to the high pressure discharge lamp, a detector for detecting the output AC lamp current to the high pressure discharge lamp, a controller responsive to the detector for controlling the AC supply to output the AC lamp current with a waveform which is characterized by that (i) a mean value in the second half of each half-cycle period is larger than the means value of the first half of each half-cycle period, (ii) no pulse current is contained in the second half of each half-cycle period, (iii) the AC lamp current has a maximum value immediately after polarity change between the positive and negative half-cycle periods, and (iv) the AC lamp current has also a waveform defined by that the ratio (d/a) of the maximum value (d) of the AC lamp current and a mean value (a) of the AC lamp current in its each half-cycle period satisfies a following equation. 1.05≦d/a≦1.80

    摘要: In a network system according to the present invention, in the case where a plurality of calls are set between specific terminal and the other terminal unit to conduct communication, when a communication fault is detected in a frame relay network, a representative call is decided from the plurality of calls, and all the calls except for the representative call are released. Thereafter, a call cut message including information relating to the calls to be released is transmitted from the frame relay network. In the specific terminal, the calls except for the representative call are released on the basis of the information of the calls to be released which is contained in the call cut message to transmit the call release message of the representative call. In the frame relay network, the representative call is released according to the call release message to transmit the call release completion message. Then, in the specific terminal, the representative call is released.

    摘要: A network system in which administrators of frame relay networks can recognize the quality of the ATM network suitably and manage the frame relay networks in accordance with the quality condition of the ATM network. When a frame F is transmitted from a frame relay network FR1 at a transmitting side to an IWF, a frame header in which a transmission number is stored is added to the frame F. Then, the frame F is received by a frame relay network FR2 at a transmitted side through the IWF and the ATM network. In the frame relay network FR2, a difference between the transmission number stored in the frame header of the frame F and a reception condition variable kept in the frame relay network FR2 is calculated, and the difference is stored in a quality information collection table as a number of discarded frames in the ATM network.
