Abstract:
In some embodiments, a system includes a set of network control entities associated with a distributed multi-stage switch. Each network control entity from the set of network control entities is configured to manage at least one edge device having a set of ports and coupled to the distributed multi-stage switch. Each network control entity from the set of network control entities is associated with a unique set of identifiers. A network control entity from the set of network control entities is configured to assign a unique identifier from its unique set of identifiers to a port from the set of ports of the at least one edge device in response to the network control entity receiving a login request associated with the port.

Abstract:
A system for operating a power line communications system is provided. One embodiment is comprised of a plurality of network elements, which may take the form of repeaters, bypass devices, backhaul devices, wireless backhaul devices, enhanced bypass device, communication interface devices and others. In one embodiment, two groups of network elements in the same electrical distribution system are isolated except selected communication link. The network elements respond to requests for data and send out of limit notifications to a remote computer.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for forming an accurate stone cast from a dental impression, used for the purpose of prosthetic fabrication, such as dental crowns and dentures. The initial step of this unique method is to first acquire a suitable amount of dental stone setting catalyst. One type of a suitable stone catalyst is calcium sulfate dihydrate. The dental stone catalyst is engaged onto the internal surface of the impression. This catalyst will act to hasten the initial setting of wet, mixed dental stone that is in closest proximity to the impression. The result is a stratified set of the stone. Setting of the wet, mixed dental stone occurs first at the impression/stone interface.
Abstract:
A method, computer program product, and system for managing a power distribution network is provided. In one embodiment, the computer program product comprises a VARs management module configured to generate a command configured to cause a capacitor bank to connect to the power distribution network; a voltage management module configured to receive voltage data derived from a measurement of a power line of the power distribution network and to output an alert if the voltage data is beyond a threshold; a measurement module configured to generate a request for measurement data that comprises data of a measurement of one or more electrical parameters of the power distribution network; and a power outage management module configured to output data of a location of a power outage of the power distribution system.
Abstract:
A control system to stabilize horizontal motion of a vehicle under varying steering conditions. A turn to the right or left will cause the oil from one shock to be redirected, through tubing, to the opposite side shock, causing a matched suspension spring compression to occur on both sides of the vehicle. In a straight ahead course, the hydraulic cross-vehicle flow is aborted.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for detecting a reader signal strength in a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is described. A tag is configured to monitor an attribute of a reader transmitted signal, such as the signal strength. The tag generates an indication of the signal attribute, and transmits the indication of the signal attribute to the reader.
Abstract:
Apparatus, methods, and computer storage media provide for the establishment of a parallel motor controller architecture and the dynamic reconfiguration of the architecture to redirect power to various motors according to the changing power load requirements of the motors. According to embodiments described herein, the present power load requirement for each motor of a group of motors is determined. The number of motor controllers to connect to each motor to provide the present power load requirement is then determined. A power switching network that connects the motor controllers to the motors is configured to connect the determined number of motor controllers to the corresponding motors. As the power load requirements of the motors changes, the power switching network is dynamically reconfigured to redirect power accordingly.

Abstract:
An air flow redirection device is disclosed. The air flow redirection device comprises a frame with a main hinge coupled to a top back edge of the frame. A plate is coupled to the main hinge and configured to rotate about the main hinge from an open position to a closed position. In the closed position the plate rests on top of the frame with a bottom side of the plate facing the bottom of the frame. A plurality of blocking fingers are coupled to the bottom side of the plate using a secondary hinge in a line parallel with, and adjacent to, the primary hinge. Each blocking finger is spring loaded away from the plate.
