Abstract: A motorized treadmill provided for allowing a user to perform a programed workout. The motorized treadmill includes a base, an endless belt movable relative to the base for allowing a user to exercise thereon, a motor coupled to the endless belt for driving the endless belt to rotate, a signal receiver, and a controller in communication with the motor and the signal receiver. The signal receiver is configured to receive a weight training signal when the user performs the programed workout with free weight equipment. The controller is configured to transmit validated exercise use data when the user is engaging the endless belt. When the signal receiver receives the weight training signal from the free weight equipment, the controller will determine that the user is not engaging the endless belt and stops transmitting the validated exercise use data.

Abstract: An electric treadmill includes a treadmill frame, an endless belt, a motor coupled to the endless belt for driving the endless belt to rotate, a brake device and a lifting device. The brake device has a rotating disc coaxially fixed to a motor shaft of the motor and a magnetic brake mechanism. The magnetic brake mechanism has at least one magnetic portion for applying a drag force against rotation of the rotating disc. The lifting device is operable to drive the magnetic brake mechanism to move between a first position where the magnetic portion is located close to the rotating disc and a second position where the magnetic portion is located away from the rotating disc. When there is no electric power supplied to the electric treadmill, the magnetic brake mechanism will automatically move to the first position due to gravity to stop rotation of the endless belt.

Abstract: An exercise instruction apparatus for guiding a user to perform a fitness exercise includes a control unit and a display device. The control unit is configured to control a video imagery displayed by the display device. The video imagery shows an instructor image and a user image simultaneously. The instructor image demonstrates movements of the fitness exercise and the user image presented in a mirror image is a real-time image of the user standing in front of the display device. The control unit is configured to adjust at least one image parameters such as brightness, transparency or contrast of at least one of the instructor image and the user image. The image parameter that is adjusted for the instructor image may be a different parameter than the image parameter that is adjusted for the user image. The instructor image may be overlapped on the user image, and the user can adjust the transparency of at least one of the first image and the second image.

Abstract: An electric treadmill includes a motor and a motor driving circuit. The motor driving circuit is operable to control electric current flow from a positive electrode through the motor to a negative electrode to drive the motor. The motor driving circuit has a switch path connected between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The switch path has a resistance element and a switch element connected in series. When the motor driving circuit receives power from the external power source, the switch element will automatically switch to an open state so that the resistance element is inactive; and when the motor driving circuit does not receive power from the external power source, the switch element will automatically switch to an closed state so that the resistance element is operated to provide a resistive load for stopping rotation of the endless belt.

Abstract: An electric treadmill includes a motor and a motor driving circuit. Abstract: A motor brake device of an exercise apparatus includes a motor, a brake device and a lifting device. The brake device has a rotating disc and a magnetic brake mechanism. The rotating disc is coaxially mounted on a motor shaft of the motor. The magnetic brake mechanism has at least one magnetic portion. The lifting device is configured to drive the magnetic brake mechanism to move between a first position where the magnetic portion is located close to the rotating disc and a second position where the magnetic portion is located away from the rotating disc. The second position is located higher than the first position. When there is no electric power supplied to the exercise apparatus, the magnetic brake mechanism can move downward to the first position to stop rotation of the motor shaft by gravity due to potential difference between the second position and the first position.
