Abstract: A motorized treadmill provided for allowing a user to perform a programed workout. The motorized treadmill includes a base, an endless belt movable relative to the base for allowing a user to exercise thereon, a motor coupled to the endless belt for driving the endless belt to rotate, a signal receiver, and a controller in communication with the motor and the signal receiver. The signal receiver is configured to receive a weight training signal when the user performs the programed workout with free weight equipment. The controller is configured to transmit validated exercise use data when the user is engaging the endless belt. When the signal receiver receives the weight training signal from the free weight equipment, the controller will determine that the user is not engaging the endless belt and stops transmitting the validated exercise use data.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus comprises an exercise apparatus body and an image display connected to a front portion of a frame of the exercise apparatus body. The image display can be moved between a first position and at least one second position via a connecting component. When the image display is located at the first position, a display surface of the image display basically faces substantially rearward, and the center point of the display surface is located in the region of the width in the transverse direction of the exercise apparatus body for a user viewing an image to perform a first exercise by using the exercise apparatus in a first exercise area; and when the image display device is located at the second position, the display surface faces substantially rearward, and the center point of the display surface is located outside the region of the width in the transverse direction of the exercise apparatus body for a user viewing the image to perform a second exercise in a second exercise area which is outside the first exercise area.

The control unit is in communication with the sensor, the resistance adjusting apparatus and the elevation angle adjusting apparatus and operates one of the resistance adjusting apparatus and the elevation angle adjusting apparatus to control the rotational speed of the treadmill belt, and further operates the other one of that if the rotational speed of the treadmill belt does not reach a predetermined target rotational speed.

Abstract: A treadmill which is driven by movement of a user includes a frame, a continuous belt mounted around the frame, a sensor and a control unit. The continuous belt has a top surface for allowing a user to perform walking, jogging or running thereon. The sensor is configured to detect a rotation speed of the continuous belt. The control unit is configured to control a resistance of the continuous belt and an elevation angle of the top surface of the continuous belt for adjusting the rotation speed of the continuous belt to a predetermined speed. When the rotation speed of the continuous belt is slower than the predetermined speed even the resistance has reached a lower limit of available resistance settings, the control unit is operable to increase the elevation angle of the top surface of the continuous belt to further increase the rotation speed of the continuous belt.

When the sensor detects that the retaining member comes into contact with the object, the controller determines that the endless belt is interfered by the object and stops rotation of the motor to slow down or stop rotation of the endless belt.
