The invention relates to a vessel for receiving suspensions containing sos such as radioactive liquids. The vessel includes a bottom wall inclined towards an outlet opening formed therein and a spraying arrangement in the vicinity of the inner walls. In order to reliably discharge solid deposits on the bottom of the vessel while using a minimum of flushing liquid, the bottom of the vessel is provided with a channel extending in the direction toward the outlet opening. A flushing tube pointing into the channel is provided at the highest elevation thereof. The solid/liquid mixture is flushed out of the vessel with great effectiveness by means of a directed delivery of the flushing liquid into the channel.

The method includes the steps of positioning the light-emitting diode on the printed circuit board. Once positioned, the light-emitting diode is connected to the printed circuit board. The light-emitted diode and the printed circuit board are positioned in a mold. A thermoplast is injected into the mold such that the thermoplast extends on both sides of the printed circuit board and over the light-emitting diode.

For this purpose, the light distribution body is part of the light-emitting diode. The section of the light distribution body adjacent to the non-glowing light source has an elliptical section as an envelope curve in at least one cutting plane, which encompasses the optic axis. A compact light unit with a high degree of optical efficiency is developed with this invention.

The invention concerns a method for producing an optical waveguide from a material which is flowable before final solidification, in a mold, wherein, on a first introduction of the flowable material at least one radiation-emitting emitter with its connecting means electrically contacting the emitter is surrounded by said material, and one or more additional introductions of one or more flowable materials take place in regions located outside the regions of the emitter and the connecting means. It is proposed that a coating material is monolithically joined to the optical waveguide during at least one of the introductions. The invention further concerns an optical waveguide.
