One embodiment includes receiving an input electronic file with academic test data that includes student identifiers, question scores associated with each student identifier, and the total score for each student, calculating an identity score for each pair of students, determining a maximum identity score for each student, generating a normalized collusion score for each student by subtracting from the maximum identity score an average identity score to generate an identity metric, and dividing the identity metric by a local average identity metric to generate a normalized collusion score, where the local average identity metric is an estimated average of a set of identity metrics for a subset of students adjacent to one another on the total test score ranked list, writing student identifiers and normalized collusion scores associated with student identifiers to an output electronic file.

A microfluidic device having a chip defining fluid channels and having toner patches printed within the channels. The toner patches are printed with hydrophobic toner to apply inertial pressure to fluids travelling through the channels. The density of hydrophobic toner and the dimensions of the toner patch can be varied to alter the inertial pressure applied to the fluid. The chip can be rotated about a rotational axis to apply external pressure to fluids sufficient to overcome the inertial pressure created by the toner patch to push fluid past the toner patch. The rotational speed of the chip can be varied to facilitate movement of fluid through the channels and to push fluid past the hydrophobic toner patches.

A method of preparing a hydroxytyrosol sturgeon skin gelatin film with antioxidant activity and Salmonella detection ability includes: (1) mixing a neutral red indicator solution and distilled water at room temperature to obtain a mixture solution, and adding 1 mol/L NaHCO3 solution to the mixture solution until discoloration to obtain an alkaline solution; (2) adding an amount of the alkaline solution obtained in step (1) to a mixture of Sturgeon skin gelatin and distilled water to obtain an alkaline gelatin solution; (3) adding hydroxytyrol and glycerin and propylene glycol to the alkaline gelatin solution to obtain a hydroxytyrol gelatin solution, and heating the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution at 40-70° C.; (4) ultrasonicating the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution from step (3), placing the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution evenly on a clean plexiglass plate, drying the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution on an ultra-clean worktable to obtain the hydroxytyrosol sturgeon skin gelatin film.
