Abstract:
A system for obtaining staffing for a plurality of temporary staffing opportunities available at various healthcare facilities is disclosed. The system comprises a computing device in operable communication with a database to store information related to a plurality of candidates and a plurality of healthcare facilities. A calendar module receives scheduling information via the computing device and corresponds the scheduling information to a plurality of staffing availabilities. A hiring system transmits the plurality of staffing availabilities to the plurality of candidates, and a comparator compares data pertaining to the plurality of candidates with the plurality of staffing availabilities to match one or more of the plurality of candidates with one or more of the plurality of staffing availabilities.
Abstract:
An enclosed water saw assembly includes an enclosure that has a bottom wall and the bottom wall is structured to define a well extending downwardly therefrom. The bottom wall slopes downwardly toward the well to direct a fluid into the well. A first support is coupled to the enclosure and a second support is slidably attached to the enclosure. Each of the first support and the second support may have a water saw positioned thereon. A pump is positioned within the well and the pump may be fluidly coupled to the water saw. The pump urges the fluid in the well into the water saw such that the pump re-circulates overspray from the water saw. A tent is removably positioned on the enclosure to contain overspray from the water saw within the enclosure. A cover is positionable on the enclosure.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention generally disclose methods, compositions and uses for generating and expressing poxvirus constructs. In some embodiments, constructs may contain an influenza virus gene segment. In certain embodiments, methods generally relate to making and using compositions of constructs including, but not limited to, poxvirus vaccine compositions. In other embodiments, vaccine compositions are reported of use in a subject.
Abstract:
The present invention provides tetrahydropyrvinium (THP), derivatives thereof, benzoxazole compounds, and derivatives thereof. The present invention provides a method of using tetrahydropyrvinium (THP), derivatives thereof, benzoxazole compounds, and derivatives thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of inhibiting an androgen receptor by administering a compound of Formula I: or a compound of Formula II: wherein R1, R2, R3 and R8 are each independently hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl. R4 is absent or is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl or C1-6 alkyl-OH. R5 is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl or —NR6R7. R6 and R7 are each independently hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl, or are combined with the nitrogen to which they are attached to form a heterocycloalkyl having from 5 to 7 ring members. L is a linker of C1-6 alkylene, C2-6 alkenylene, C2-6 alkynylene or C3-6 cycloalkylene. The compounds of Formula I include the salts, hydrates and prodrugs thereof. Each R9 is H, C1-6 alkyl, —OH or —O—C1-6 alkyl. The compounds of Formulas I and II include the salts, hydrates and prodrugs thereof. By administering the compound of Formula I or II, the method inhibits the androgen receptor.
Abstract:
Several methods for operating a built-in digital camera of a portable, handheld electronic device are described. In one embodiment, the device receives a user selection (e.g., tap, tap and hold, gesture) of a region displayed on the display screen (e.g., touch sensitive screen). A touch to focus mode may then be initiated in response to the user selection and exposure and focus parameters determined and adjusted. Then, an automatic scene detection mechanism can determine whether a scene has changed. If the scene has changed, then the touch to focus mode ends and a default automatic focus mode initiates. This mode sets a new exposure metering area and focus area prior to determining and adjusting exposure and focus parameters, respectively.
Abstract:
A method is provided through which information about media files embedded in web pages is obtained from a server and analyzed to determine if the media files are playable on a device. This information may be external to the media file or may be a portion of the media file itself. The determination of whether a media file is playable by a device is made based on information obtained from the server without downloading the entirety of the media file.
Abstract:
A method for producing a polishing pad comprising (a) providing a porous polymer structure, (b) compressing at least a region of the porous polymer structure to provide a translucent region, and (c) forming a polishing pad comprising the porous polymer structure, whereby a polishing pad is produced comprising the translucent region. Also provided is a polishing pad produced according to this method, and a polishing pad comprising a region that is at least translucent, wherein the translucent region is porous, as well as a method of polishing a substrate using a pad of the invention.
Abstract:
The invention provides a polishing disk comprising (a) a body comprising a front surface, a back surface, and a peripheral surface, (b) a polishing surface, (c) an end-point detection port extending through the body from the front surface to the back surface, and (d) a drainage channel in fluid communication with the end-point detection port. The invention further provides a method of preparing such a polishing disk and a method of polishing a substrate with such a polishing disk.
Abstract:
An interactive user interface for a computer controlled system to simplify browsing and navigating through information structures. The interface uses a split-pane icon on a window scroll bar, or input and output icons on a window title bar. When activating the split-pane icon by dragging a selected object to it, a new pane opens up displaying the contents of the object. Where a first or second pane exists, dragging a selected object to the first or second panels input icon, or dragging the output icon of the first pane to the second panels input icon, will display the contents of a selected object in the first or second pane respectively. Other ways of controlling the displays in the same or different windows or panes are also described.
