    摘要: The invention provides a recovery device and method for use in a confined space, the device comprising (a) a plurality of gripping means and (b) extension means, the plurality of gripping means being comprised in the same member or in adjacent members. Preferably, the plurality of gripping means comprise first gripping means and second gripping means and the recovery device additionally comprises collection means for the loose and particulate debris collected by the second gripping means. The invention provides a solution to the problem of repeated access to confined spaces such as mortuary tubes by providing a recovery device capable of handling a mixture of drums and loose waste without necessitating the changing of tools.

    摘要: A medical imaging system comprises a patient support surface. An imaging apparatus has a support table located within the support surface, and adjustable relative to the support surface to be located above the surface and thereby engage a portion of the patient to be imaged. The imaging is performed by a rotary scanner rotatable about a vertical axis utilises multiple transducers that each image a different portion to produce conical slice. The signal processing compensates for attenuation and different gains in the transducers to provide a normalised set f data for reconstruction.

    摘要: The invention provides a system and method for computer-aided detection (“CAD”). The invention relates to computer-aided automatic detection of abnormalities in and analysis of medical images. Medical images are analyzed, to extract and identify a set of features in the image relevant to a diagnosis. The system computes an initial diagnosis based on the set of identified features and a diagnosis model, which are provided to a user for review and modification. A computed diagnosis is dynamically re-computed upon user modification of the set of identified features. Upon a user selecting a diagnosis based on system recommendation, a diagnosis report is generated reflecting features present in the medical image as validated by the user and the user selected diagnosis.
