Abstract:
A meta-stable composition, a product including the meta-stable composition, and a method of protecting a keratinous substrate from UV radiation by applying the product are provided. The meta-stable cosmetic composition includes at least one water-in-oil emulsifier having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of less than 6, at least one non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifier having an HLB of greater than 9, at least one ionic surfactant, and at least one skin care active ingredient. The weight ratio of the at least one non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifier to the at least one water-in-oil emulsifier is about 0.02 to about 2.0. The meta-stable cosmetic composition converts from an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion to a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion upon rubbing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to nail composition sets comprising at least one primer, at least one bonding composition, and at least one color coat, wherein the primer comprises water and at least one adhesive compound and preferably further comprises at least one water-soluble film forming agent and/or at least one plasticizer.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to sunscreen compositions having a synergistic combination of ultraviolet light (UV) filtering agents that provide a high sun protection factor (SPF). Compositions according to the disclosure have high SPF values without requiring high overall amounts of UV filtering agents. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to methods of using the described compositions for protecting keratinous substances such as skin and hair from UV radiation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to vectorization of double stranded RNA oligonucleotides by cationic particles chosen from among surfactant micelles, block or non-block polymer micelles, cationic liposomes and niosomes, cationic oleosomes and cationic nanoemulsions, as well as from among cationic organic or inorganic particles and nanocapsules, and to the use of compositions comprising the association of at least one dsRNA and at least one cationic particle on skin models.

Individualized porous particles having a volume-average diameter of less than or equal to 10 μm and a specific surface area of greater than or equal to 1 m2/g, and that include at least one cosmetically or pharmaceutically active compound present at least inside the particles.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods of making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate comprising (1) forming a film on the keratinous substrate by applying to said keratinous substrate (a) a first cosmetic composition comprising at least one polyvinyl alcohol-styrylpyridinium polymer and (b) a second cosmetic composition comprising at least one complexing agent, and (2) exposing the film to radiation chosen from UV and visible light radiation.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to sunscreen compositions having a synergistic combination of ultraviolet light (UV) filtering agents that provide a high sun protection factor (SPF). Compositions according to the disclosure have high SPF values without requiring high overall amounts of UV filtering agents, and without requiring the use of oxybenzone. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to methods of using the described compositions for protecting keratinous substances such as skin and hair from UV radiation.
Abstract:
A method of photoprotecting a material against solar UV radiation by treating the material using a composition having a dispersion of photonic particles with a mean size in the range 1 μm to 500 μm, each having a diffracting arrangement of monodisperse nanoparticles or voids, the diffraction spectrum of the arrangement including a first order reflection peak in the wavelength range 250 nm to 400 nm, or by integrating the dispersion of photonic particles into the material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one organopolysiloxane compound X having at least two alkenyl unsaturated groups, at least one organohydrogensiloxane compound Y and at least one hydrosilylation catalyst, and said compounds X and Y reacting together via a hydrosilylation reaction in the presence of the catalyst, at least one compound among the compounds X and Y being present in said composition in a form encapsulated in silica shell microcapsules, said catalyst being associated with said encapsulated compound X and/or Y or being encapsulated separately, the microcapsules being in suspension in an aqueous phase. Application for the cosmetic care and/or making up of keratin materials.
