摘要: An elongated perimeter light is disclosed, which comprises a linear array of light sources (LEDs) that are electrically illuminated. The array of light sources is disposed within an elongated transparent tube, with the tube transmitting and dispersing the light from the array giving the appearance that said array of light sources is a continuous light source. The array of light sources is capable of being cut at intervals down its length to shorten it. The light sources that remain in the array continue to emit light and the tube can be cut to match the length of said array. The present invention also discloses systems for lighting structural features, with one system according to the present invention comprising a plurality of elongated perimeter lights. The perimeter lights are electrically coupled in a daisy chain with the electrical power at each of the perimeter lights being transmitted to the successive light. A mechanism is included for anchoring the plurality of perimeter lights to a structure to illuminate it. Each of the perimeter lights can be cut at intervals down its length while not interfering with its ability to transmit its electrical power to successive lights.

摘要: Color management using a vector-based color difference metric. A color difference map is comprised of color difference vectors for each of a plurality of pixels of an original image. The color difference vector for each pixel includes both a magnitude and a directionality representing a difference for color data in each pixel in the original image, relative to color data in a corresponding mapped pixel in a color mapped image. Pixels in the color difference map having large color differences in color movement relative to nearby pixels are identified in the color difference map, by applying an edge-detection algorithm to the color difference map. For each pixel that is identified in a smooth area in the original image and is identified as having a large color difference in the color difference map, a correction algorithm is applied, so as to provide a corrected color mapped image.

摘要: An apparatus for providing zonal isolation in a wellbore includes a plurality of interlocking sealing elements having anchor elements at the opposing ends. Each anchor element sealingly engages a wellbore tubular whereas the interlocking sealing elements do not engage any portion of wellbore therebetween. In one exemplary application utilizes a wellhead and lubricator positioned over a wellbore under pressure and a conveyance device for conveying equipment into the wellhead. The first anchor, the second anchor and the plurality of interlocking sealing elements are separately conveyed into the wellbore with the conveyance device and sequentially assembled in the wellbore to provide zonal isolation.

摘要: A drinking receptacle cover and lip operated valve wherein a cover is adapted sealingly to engage and enclose the upper open end of a drinking receptacle such as a styrofoam cup or the like, the cover being provided with a resiliently hinged valve support normally tending to be disposed above the upper surface of the cover and a valve member fixed to the valve support when the valve support is deflected downwardly toward the lower surface of the cover, the valve member engaging a valve seat surrounding an opening in the cover below the valve support and the resilient character of the hinge structure of the valve support tending to hold the valve member upwardly against the seat and sealingly to prevent fluid from leaking from the receptacle when tipped over; the valve support having an upwardly protruding portion adapted to be operated by a person''s lip for drinking from the edge of the cover when the person''s lip depresses the valve support; said valve and said valve support having vent openings therein with a chamber therebetween so as to provide for the venting of vaporous fluid from a cup over which the cover is sealingly secured; the disclosed method being related to the forming of the valve support in a resiliently disposed position above the upper surface of the cover and then depressing the valve support and fixing the valve member thereto so that it is resiliently held against or adjacent to the lower surface of the cover and sealingly to engage and seal around an opening below the valve support.
