Abstract:
A method and apparatus for measuring a location of a communication terminal using an access point is provided. Information of nearby access points from the communication terminal is received. A predetermined number of nearby access points among the nearby access points is selected based on the received information. Location coordinates of the selected predetermined number of nearby access points are extracted. A barycentric coordinate is calculated using the extracted location coordinates. The calculated barycentric coordinate is determined as a final location of the communication terminal.

Provided are a stator for a brushless direct-current (BLDC) motor, a BLDC motor having a double-rotor/single-stator structure, and a vehicle cooler using the same, which uses a printed circuit board for an assembly that automatically sets an assembly position of stator core assemblies, to thereby secure waterproof, light-weight, and high power features. The stator includes a holder, a boss which has built-in bearings in order to support a rotational axis, and which enables the rotational axis to be rotated, a number of stator core assemblies which respectively enclose bobbins having inner and outer flanges at the inner and outer sides of a number of division type stator cores and in which coils are wound around the bobbins, and a printed circuit board for an assembly in which each stator core assembly is automatically position-set and then assembled and both end portions of the coil are mutually connected by each phase of U, V and W. After each stator core assembly has been temporarily assembled on the assembly PCB, the stator core assembly is insert molded using thermosetting resin to thereby integrally form the holder and the boss in the stator.

Provided is an indoor location measuring method and apparatus. The indoor location measuring apparatus that measures a location of a communication terminal within a building by determining a floor where the communication terminal is located may include a floor classifying means for classifying information relating to a plurality of access points (APs) and collected by the communication terminal for each floor, and a location determining means for assigning a grade constant to each item of AP information classified for each floor based on the signal intensity included in the AP information, and for calculating the sum of the grade constants for each floor, and for determining a floor having the largest sum as a location of the communication terminal.

An indoor location measuring method and apparatus are provided. An apparatus for sectionalizing an indoor area for indoor location measurement includes a reference coordinate inputting unit which receives an input of a reference coordinate corresponding to the indoor area; a sector number inputting unit which receives an input of a number of sectors per column or row in the indoor area; and a sectionalization calculating unit which sectionalizes the indoor area into a predetermined number of sectors based on the reference coordinate and the number of sectors per column or row, and calculates a coordinate of a point of a sector among the sectionalized predetermined number of sectors.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for updating information of an access point for a wireless local area network service in measuring a location of a communication terminal using the access point are provided. The method includes: storing information of access points in a storage unit; receiving information of nearby access points from a specific communication terminal to be measured for location; checking whether there exists an access point of which information is not stored in the storage unit among the nearby access points; performing a global positioning system (GPS) location measurement for the specific communication terminal when there exists the access point of which the information is not stored; and storing the GPS location measurement result and the information of the nearby access points in the storage unit.

Provided are a method of searching for multimedia contents and an apparatus therefor. The method includes separating an audio signal from indexing target multimedia contents and performing pre-processing on the audio signal, extracting a silence period of the audio signal, extracting an audio feature in at least one predetermined length period after an end point of the silence period, storing at least two of information for the multimedia contents, the audio feature and the end point of the silence period, to be associated with each other, in a database, and receiving the audio feature of the multimedia contents and searching the database for multimedia contents having the same or a similar audio feature as the search target multimedia contents.

Provided is a slim type stator that is used to make a BLDC (Brushless Direct-Current) motor having a stator of a division core structure and a double rotor for use in a drum-washing machine, a slim type motor having the same, and a direct drive apparatus for use in the drum-washing machine. The stator includes: an annular division stator core assembly that is assembled in an annular form by winding a three-phase coil on a number of bobbins that are molded on respective outer circumferences of a number of division cores to thus surround a middle portion of each bobbin wherein each bobbin includes first and second flanges formed at one side of the bobbin and the other side thereof, respectively, and a coupling protrusion and a coupling groove that are formed at both side ends of the first flange that is disposed inward, and wherein the coupling protrusion and the coupling groove are mutually coupled between adjoining division stator bobbins; and a stator holder that molds the division stator core assembly that is formed in an annular form by winding the coils on the bobbins by an insert molding that uses a thermosetting resin, excepting inner and outer side surfaces of each division core of the division stator core assembly.

A vertical-type electric contactor connected to a bump of an electric contactor is provided. The vertical-type electric contactor includes a support beam, vertically bonded with the bump, in which at least two elastic parts are spaced apart from each other; a fixed part disposed at the bottom end of the support beam for fixing the support beam; and a tip part disposed at the bottom end of the fixed part, the tip part and the fixed part being a single body. According to the vertical-type electric contactor, a reaction force generated at a tip part is effectively distributed to test electric devices without damage of the vertical-type electric contactor.
