摘要： In a wire-cut EDM apparatus for cutting a workpiece (2) submerged in a processing tank (3) filled with a machining fluid (15), an opening (24) is made in the side wall of the tank through which an arm unit passes. A slide plate (14) also has an opening for passage of the arm unit and also provents leakage from the space between the opening 24 and the arm unit. In one preferred embodiment a fluid flow between the slide plate and arm unit is used to prevent fluid in the tank from escaping through the space between the slide plate (14) and the arm unit. Alternatively, a low frictional member may be placed between the arm unit and the slide plate for axially sealing the arm unit. Frictional resistance from movement of the lower arm unit is reduced and machining accuracy improved.

摘要： A wire-cut electroerosion apparatus comprising a work tank (6) for containing a dielectric fluid, the tank having at least one wall with an opening (36) therein, and a lower arm (15) which is supported at one end on the outside of the work tank and extending through the opening into the tank, the tank being movable relative to the lower arm. The work tank includes a base container member (12) and at least one movable frame member (13,14). The base container member includes a rear wall with the above-noted opening therein and a low wall formed along the other three sides, the low wall being lower than the bottom of the workpiece. The movable frame member(s) can be raised and lowered using a pantograph (20) to thereby easily access the workpiece and electrode wire.

摘要： A switch is disclosed for use in a power supply circuit for supplying electric discharge power between a tool electrode and a workpiece. It includes, a movable contact (12) having a piston (12A) and a piston rod (12B) attached to a bottom surface of the piston; a case (11) having a cylindrical hole (11A) enabling reciprocal movement of the piston; a first fixed contact (19) fitted into the case in a water tight fashion and having a hole (19A) to enable the piston rod; a second fixed contact (14) water-tightly fitted into the case in a water tight fashion and having a planar surface extending parallel to and opposite to the top planar surface of the piston; a first terminal (C) attached to the first fixed contact and at least partially exposed to the outside of the case; a second terminal (T) attached to the second fixed contact and at least partially exposed to the outside of the case; and, a driver (15) for moving the movable contact to change connection between the movable contact and the second fixed contact.
