    摘要: The optical switching equipment is basically configured as a single configuration without protection as a basic unit and to split the optical signal into one signal passing through the equipment and the other signal to be added and dropped in the equipment and execute the adding and dropping process in a redundant portion. The optical transport network is configured to locate a plurality of optical switching equipments and optical transmission routes so as to allow the optical signals processed in the equipment for adding the optical signals to pass through the different optical transmission routes and equipments respectively. The optical signal allowed to pass through the equipment is processed in the single configuration portion of the equipment. The setting of the routes of the optical switching equipment and the optical transmission route makes it possible for the overall optical transport network to transmit the redundant optical signal.

    摘要: In order to provide a small-sized and compact optical switch of 1×4 type. Two movable optical fibers are fixed on a substrate by a fixing block disposed in a middle portion of the fibers. Two movable blocks made of a soft magnetic body are mounted to the both ends of the movable optical fibers. Two soft magnetic fixing blocks are arranged on the substrate for fixing one optical fiber so as to oppose to one of the movable block, and for fixing four optical fibers so as to oppose to the movable block, respectively. Two movable blocks can be independently moved with respect to the respective fixing blocks by means of actuators. Further, it is possible to detect a position of each movable block with respect to the fixing block by means of detecting electrodes.

    摘要: A homodyne optical receiver includes a polarization beam splitter for dividing an optical signal into an optical signal with horizontal polarization and an optical signal with vertical polarization. Optical couplers combine two optical signals of the two polarized components with two optical local signals, which signals are almost matched therewith in polarization, and in a state where they are matched with each other in phase. Detectors homodyne-detect respective output optical signals of the optical couplers and two weighting circuits assign output signals of the detectors weights which are approximately proportional to amplitudes thereof, respectively. An adder adds output signals of the weighting circuits.

The channel designator includes a bias control circuit for continuously changing the optical frequency of a local oscillation light source up to a frequency corresponding to a target channel, a channel detection circuit for detecting channel passage on the basis of the difference signal, and a channel counting circuit for storing therein the selected channel and the target channel, detecting the direction of the target channel, counting the number of channel passage times, and detecting arrival at the target channel.

The optical receiver selects first and second values, and obtains a stabilization time necessary to change the dispersion value and a transition time shorter than the stabilization time, compensates the received optical signal using the selected first value, changes the dispersion value from the first value into the second value, compensates the received optical signal using the dispersion value when the transition time has passed since starting to change the dispersion value, creates second extraction information of the dispersion value after the transition time, compensates for dispersion of the optical signal using an dispersion value calculated based on the second value and the difference between the dispersion value after the transition time and the second value in a case where the created second extraction information indicates that the clock extraction is available.
