摘要: To increase the operating speed of a printing machine in which sheets are fed from a make-ready table (5) to a printing system (P, G; 2, 3, 65, 63), sheets are fed to the make-ready table in a transport direction and a lateral force is applied to the sheets as they are being fed to the make-ready table, for example by inclined belts (6-9). A feed roller, operating at a rotationally non-uniform speed, accelerates sheets gripped between the feed roller (18) and a counter roller (32) and the accelerated sheets then impinge on front register stops (50; 59) on either a transfer cylinder (34) or the impression cylinder (60) itself, the transfer cylinder or the impression cylinder, respectively, being driven at rotational non-uniform speed, first slightly slower than the accelerated speed of the sheets to ensure gentle impingement on the front register stops of the transfer cylinder or the impression cylinder, and then, after being gripped, the respective cylinder accelerates to a speed which , for the transfer cylinder, will be the same as an associated impression cylinder or, for the impression cylinder itself, to the same speed as the cylinders of the printing system.

摘要: For smoothing of the leading edges of sheets disposed on the feed table of a sheetfeeder for a rotary printing machine, a vertically reciprocable rule (3) is provided. Prior to grasping of each sheet by grippers (16), the rule is lowered onto the sheets on the table (1), thereby ironing out waviness, so that the sheets may be evenly and securely grasped by the grippers (16) and correctly fed into the printing machine. In order to position the rule as close as possible to the leading edge of the sheets, the rule has recesses (5, 6) which accomodate the grippers (16) and front gauges (17).

摘要: To improve the versatility of offset printing machines by permitting, selectively, prime printing or prime-and-verso printing, a printing system of at least one plate cylinder (1) in engagement with a rubber blanket cylinder (7) is provided, the plate cylinder having the customary inker (3) and damper (5) associated therewith. Printing is effected against an impression or counter cylinder (9). The impression or counter cylinder is arranged for application of verso print image on the sheet by having an attachment arrangement (13-24) to attach a flexible planographic printing plate (12) on the surface thereof; a further inker (29) is provided, selectively engageable with the planographic printing plate, if verso printing is to be effected. If the printing plate is an offset printing plate, an additional damper may be provided, selectively engageable therewith. Preferably, the diameter of the impression or counter cylinder (9) is smaller than the diameter of an associated dimensioning or bearer ring (11), the difference in diameter (2a--see FIG. 3) being at least twice the thickness of the flexible planographic printing plate. The flexible planographic printing plate can be selectively interchanged with other surfaces, such as a metal plate, a rigid impression surface, or an elastic or yielding impression surface, such as a blanket or other similar cover.

摘要: Individual disks or roller elements (4) are located, axially positioned next to each other, on a water roller transfer structure. To provide for smooth operation of rollers of a roller train of the machine, the disks or roller elements (4) of the water roller structure are in continuous surface engagement with a receiving roller, forming part of the machine roller train, and driven at machine speed. The disks or roller elements (4) are individually selectively shiftable about the circumference of the receiving roller (5) by deflection of individual angled levers (6) for selective engagement with a water supply roller (2) operating, for example, in a water trough (1), receiving water from the water supply roller. The receiving roller (5) is axially oscillating or reciprocating, and may form part of the inker of the printing machine and, further, has engagement contact with additional rollers (5', 5") of the inker of which one (5"), for example, also is axially reciprocating or oscillating.

摘要: A system for presetting register and color zone adjusting devices in a multi-color rotary printing machine uses digitally-driven optical scanners axially traversing the plate cylinders under control of at least one numerical computer. Machine-specific characteristics are programmed in non-volatile memory as referenced values. Data processing is not required to be conducted external to the printing machine. The system is compact and requires practically no re-adjustment or entry of desired values from the machine operator. The machine operator, however, may enter coordinates for printing areas on the printing plate in order to speed up the scanning process for determining the initial color zone preset. The scanner multi-functionally scans the printing plate for both register adjustment and for integrating the ratio of printing to non-printing area for each inking zone. The system is easily reprogrammed and the optical scanner is interchangeable with a densitometer in order to provide alternative control functions during printing, such as the regulation of inking and dampening.

摘要: Nylons are prepared by a continuous process in which, in a precondensation zone, an aqueous solution of a salt of a dicarboxylic acid of 6 to 18 carbon atoms and a diamine of 6 to 18 carbon atoms is heated to 250.degree.-300.degree. C. under superatmospheric pressure, with simultaneous vaporization of water and formation of a prepolymer, the prepolymer and the vapor are separated, and the former is fed into a polycondensation zone and condensed under superatmospheric pressure of from 1 to 10 bar and at from 250.degree. to 300.degree. 摘要: A rotary printing machine has a plate cylinder and a liquid supply apparatus comprising an inker and a damper. The liquid supply apparatus includes rollers and an endless band guided over two deflection rollers. The band, which has a surface that accepts ink and damping fluid and extends over the width of the rollers, is provided with guide elements cooperating with counterpart guide elements attached to the machine. The guide elements and counterpart guide elements are embodied such that the band is displaceable at right angles to the axes of two rollers and is additionally pivotable at least about one of the axes of a deflection roller. Positioning means supported firmly on the machine are also provided for fixing the band in at least two different operating positions, in which the band is in contact with one or two rollers of the liquid supply apparatus. As a result of the different screw-down positions of the band that thus become possible, various kinds of disruptions in the supply of liquid to the plate cylinder can be counteracted.

摘要: To permit, selectively, thicker or thinner ink films being transferred from an inker supply (1, 2) having a doctor blade (2) to a plate cylinder (10) via ink application rollers (8, 9) and an ink roller train, without readjustment of the position of the doctor blade (2) with respect to the ink roller (1), the ink roller train has a main train of ink rollers, and auxiliary trains or sets of paired ink rollers, the main ink roller train being so arranged that some of the rollers can be physically shifted to define a gap in the ink transfer path through the main roller train, and, instead, the gap is bridged by rollers of the auxiliary roller train (B). Inserting more rollers, serially, in the path of ink between the ink roller (1) and the plate cylinder (10) provides for a thin film of ink for offset printing; a lesser number of rollers provides a thick film of ink, for example for use in di-litho printing.
