Abstract:
A storage file format for replaying an adaptively streamed multimedia stream, a client apparatus using the storage file format, and a method of storing a multimedia stream in the client apparatus are provided. According to the storage file format, meta-information for playing fragments and fragment access meta-information for replaying fragments are added to fragments.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method of transmitting/receiving streaming data, to which a bit rate suitable for a mobile communication terminal is applied, in a communication system including a server and the mobile communication terminal, and a communication system therefor. The communication system include the server for converting multimedia data into the streaming data, and transmitting the streaming data to the mobile communication terminal; and the mobile communication terminal for, on receiving the streaming data from the server, collecting streaming parameters for use to determine the bit rate, and newly determining the bit rate.
Abstract:
Provided are method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a multimedia streaming service via a network. The method of providing a multimedia streaming service includes: dividing encoded data of a video including at least one of a two-dimensional (2D) video and a three-dimensional (3D) video into fragments; determining at least one of 3D signaling information for each fragment and relationship information to be used when the video refers to other videos; and continuously transmitting the fragments including the property information regarding the fragments and encoded video data.
Abstract:
Provided are a multimedia data reproducing method and an apparatus for controlling a multimedia data reproducing speed based on a multimedia data packet receiving speed. The method including controlling a reproducing speed of the multimedia data based on a first time difference between times at which a plurality of packets including the multimedia data are respectively received and a second time difference between times to respectively reproduce the multimedia data corresponding to the plurality of packets; and reproducing the multimedia data at the controlled reproducing speed.
Abstract:
A method for operating a portable terminal so as to reduce power consumption during the support of a communication service and a portable terminal supporting the same is provided. The method includes activating a Radio Frequency (RF) communication unit, downloading a part of data of predetermined contents through the RF communication unit, buffering the downloaded part of the data in a buffer so as to output the buffered downloaded part of the data, and executing an idle time for terminating or reducing a power supply of the RF communication unit when the downloading of the part of the data of the predetermined contents is completed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for receiving streaming data is provided. The method includes establishing a plurality of real-time streaming protocol (RTSP) sessions for receiving the streaming data, and receiving the streaming data through the plurality of RTSP sessions.

Abstract:
A parallel memory device for an image processing utilizing a linear transformation, capable of achieving simultaneous access in either of various access forms which uses simple hardware and is capable of achieving a high processing rate and thereby a high circuit efficiency. The parallel memory device includes a plurality of address computation circuit units, each adapted to generate an address of each corresponding one of memory modules on the basis of an access form, reference coordinates and a memory module number of the corresponding memory module, a plurality of memory cells each adapted to receive the address generated from each corresponding one of the address computation circuit units and a read/write signal and execute storage, inputting and outputting of actual data, omega networks each adapted to receive the data from the memory cells associated therewith, to generate appropriate paths for the data such that an actual processing order of the memory modules coincides with a logical order required for a processor, and to output the data via the generated paths, and a shift circuit unit adapted to generate appropriate paths between each omega network and data terminals on the basis of an input indicative of the access form.
Abstract:
A jitter correction method of a transmitting device, a jitter correction method of a receiving device, a transmitting device, and a receiving device are provided. The jitter correction method of the transmitting device includes: determining a time stamp of a video frame; determining a transfer time of an real-time transport protocol (RTP) packet that includes at least a part of the video frame as a payload; generating the RTP packet including the time stamp and the transfer time; and transmitting the RTP packet to a receiving device.
