    摘要: A directed multiport jetting nozzle in an eductor having a focal point of the motive fluid inside the throat of a venturi-diffuser body of the present eductor provides an efficient pump and mixer providing substantial surface contact area between the motive flow and the bulk material for movement through the outlet of the eductor. The result of this design provides a homogeneous mixture of the motive fluid and the bulk material which may be hydrating or wetting, or the creation of a slurry.

    摘要: Rapid evacuation and deployment of dry materials is achieved by the dual structure of this device and the method of using it to fill and empty vacuum reloading tanks automatically. This permits materials such a bentonite, barite or cement to be handled easily and without dust on a rig floor and mixed appropriately as needed for well control and completion operations. Dry bulk material is offloaded from an offshore supply vessel into atmospheric tanks, which provide fluidized bed systems to aerate and agitate and move material through piping into the vacuum re-loader tanks. The dual re-loader tank system allows one tank to be emptied while another fills thereby providing sufficient flexibility to expertly manage receiving, storage, transfer, filtration and control of the bulk material on various space-critical platforms, including offshore rigs and service vessels, that require the handling of dry bulk materials in an accurate and dust-free manner.

    摘要: A method for removal of hydrocarbons from solid particulate matter provides a chemical treatment which moves particulate matter combined with a water and chemical mixture which is moved progressively through separation tanks to remove the particulate matter from the hydrocarbons after coating and allow the hydrocarbons to float free from the particulate substrate. The removal apparatus consists of a series of tanks through which the coated and fouled solid material is moved to progressively remove hydrocarbons from the surface of the solid material leaving the solids in one stream and the hydrocarbons in a second stream for disposal or further use.

    摘要: A system for desalinating water includes a generally cylindrical enclosure (10) and a vacuum generator (46) for forming a partial vacuum within the enclosure. Eductor (24) within a lower end of the enclosure receives heated air and brine water, and outputs a mixture of heated air and water vapor and droplets into the enclosure. Condensate collector (34) is positioned above the eductor for collecting desalinated condensate, and heat exchanger (18) above the condensate collector transfers heat within the enclosure to the brine water and condenses the water vapor to desalinated condensate.
