    摘要: The present disclosure provides a method performed by a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity and the PDCP entity. The method comprises: mapping one or more PDCP Protocol Data Units (PDUs) received out-of-order from a lower layer entity of the PDCP entity to one or more PDCP Service Data Units (SDUs) and storing the PDCP SDUs in a reordering buffer; determining whether sequence numbers of one or more missing PDCP SDUs are smaller than the smaller one of the two maximum sequence numbers among PDCP SDUs received by the PDCP entity from two lower layer entities, respectively; and delivering one or more PDCP SDUs having sequence numbers smaller than the sequence numbers of the missing PDCP SDUs and one or more PDCP SDUs having sequence numbers larger than and consecutive with the sequence numbers of the missing PDCP SDUs, as stored in the reordering buffer, to a higher layer entity of the PDCP entity when the sequence numbers of the missing PDCP SDUs are smaller than the smaller of the maximum sequence numbers.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a mechanism allowing a PDCP transmitting entity to move a transmitting window even after a packet loss over an Xn interface. According to an embodiment, a timer is provided in the PDCP transmitting entity and is started when it is determined that a packet loss may occur. The transmitting window can be moved when the timer expires, regardless of whether a PDCP PDU corresponding to a lower limit of the transmitting window has been acknowledged to be successfully transmitted or not. According to a further embodiment, a PDCP receiving entity maintains a receiving window and a t-Reordering timer is used to assist the PDCP transmitting entity to move the transmitting window. In this way, even if a packet loss occurs over the Xn interface, the transmitting window can be moved to continue transmitting subsequent PDCP PDUs.

A method performed by user equipment includes: receiving, from a base station, a medium access control control element (MAC CE) used to indicate an activation configuration of packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) duplication of a data radio bearer (DRB) and/or an associated radio link control (RLC) entity; and performing the activation configuration of the PDCP duplication and/or the associated RLC entity based on the MAC CE. Thus, the communication efficiency and reliability of a wireless communication system can be improved.
