    Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include a holding affordance that is configured to hold an optical element, a beam emitter, and a beam sensor, where the holding affordance is positioned, along a first dimension, between the beam emitter and the beam sensor; a first linear stage that supports the beam emitter and that, when actuated, moves the beam emitter along a second dimension; a first rotational stage that supports the beam emitter and that, when actuated, rotates the beam emitter in a staging plane defined by the first dimension and the second dimension; a second linear stage that supports the beam sensor and that, when actuated, moves the beam sensor along the second dimension; and a second rotational stage that supports the beam sensor and that, when actuated, rotates the beam sensor in the staging plane.     Abstract: A pupil-replicating lightguide includes an in-coupling grating structure, an out-coupling grating structure, and a phase compensation layer. The out-coupling grating structure has a spatially varying parameter such as grating duty cycle or grating thickness for evening out out-coupled distribution of light. The spatially varying out-coupling grating parameter disturbs the phase of the propagating image light. The phase compensation layer has a spatially varying optical thickness that compensates that disturbed phase to planarize an optical phase profile of out-coupled light, thereby improving a modulation transfer function of the pupil-replicating lightguide.

    Abstract: An audio system for artificial reality systems is configured to reduce feedback and mitigate entrainment in audio content presented to the user. The audio system utilizes adaptive feedback cancellation processes to reduce feedback. The audio system processes reference signals in a hybrid of the time domain and the frequency domain to achieve rapid convergence with decreased entrainment. The audio system may pre-whiten reference signals and speaker signals and separate the pre-whitened signals into frequency bands using a filter bank. The audio system uses a state space algorithm to generate adaptive filters in each frequency band. The adaptive filters may be applied to the speaker signal to generate a feedback cancelation signal which may be subtracted from the reference signal to decrease feedback.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are related to a system and a method for determining an Angle of Approach (AoA) of a device. A first device may receive a report from a second device having a plurality of ultra-wideband (UWB) devices. The report may include a plurality of values comprising an elevation component and an azimuth component of the AoA from the first device. At least some of the plurality of values may be obtained according to measurements between the plurality of UWB devices of the second devices and the at least one UWB device of the first device. The first device may determine an AoA from the second device, using the plurality of values from the report received from the second device.
