Abstract:
A highway marker for attachment to a roadbed to signal the location of a lane extending longitudinally of the roadbed and to signal the proper direction of movement in a traffic lane while defining the boundaries of the traffic lane. The marker has a bottom surface for attachment to a roadbed, a base and adjacent sides are perpendicularly arranged to the base and describe the boundaries of a triangle. A triangular floor in the form of a triangle has a base coincident with the perpendicular base and sides spaced inwardly from the perpendicular sides with there being a peeked boundary formed between the perpendicular adjacent sides and the adjacent sides of the floor. A reflective surface on the perpendicular adjacent sides form an arrow indicating a direction of travel while another reflective surface on the floor indicates an opposite direction of travel respective to the first arrow and can be of various colors.
Abstract:
A self adjusting plug is provided that is adapted to be removeably held in place within openings of different sizes in order to plug such openings is provided. The self adjusting plug comprises a top portion having a first and second side, a shaft portion, having a first and second end, the first end of the shaft portion being connected to the first side of the top portion, and one or more projections attached to the shaft portion and extending outwardly from the shaft portion. The self adjusting plug is used to plug openings by passing the bottom end of the plug into the first end of the opening, forcing the projections of the bottom end of the plug to flex as they contact the wall of the opening, to create a friction fit between the projections of the plug and the walls defining the opening.
Abstract:
An enclosed trailer for towing by an over the road truck is provided having increased internal width for a given external width. The side walls of the trailer are constructed from a series of vertically extending, spaced apart, rigid plates, preferably metallic plates, and metallic reinforcing members which have an inwardly projecting, vertically extending rib that is positioned between the adjacent edges of adjacent pairs of plates. The reinforcing members are riveted or otherwise rigidly secured to the outside of a pair of plates. Furthermore, the plates and reinforcing members are also rigidly secured to vertically extending flanges of the longitudinally extending top and bottom beams which form the juncture between the side walls and the top wall, and the side walls and the bottom wall, respectively. Because all elements of the trailer side walls are rigidly joined to the top and bottom beams, the overall strength and rigidity of the trailer is increased.

A generally horseshoe shaped inventory restraining device of a unitary and resilient construction comprising two arms extending from a base and having inner walls which define a longitudinally extending re-entrant cavity therebetween for clipping onto and tight securement to a rod-like merchandise display hook. A method is presented for using the device in conjunction with the merchandise display hook.
Abstract:
Marker devices, each comprising a base with an upright post thereon, are molded from an elastomeric material. A marker device is attached by adhesive on the base thereof to each paint striping on a worn down street and each maintenance cover mounted on the worn down street. Once the marker devices are in place on the worn down street, the posts thereof must withstand the punishment of not only being flattened by truck tires, and the tracts of a paving machine that is being used to lay down the new coating of hot asphalt on the worn down street, but also the hot asphalt, and still spring back to their upright position. Thus, when the stripings are to be repainted on the resurfaced street and when the maintenance covers are to be adjusted upwardly to the level of the new coating of asphalt on the resurfaced street their exact locations on the street are immediately indicated by the posts of the marker devices without having to make any measurements.
