摘要: Universal connection data collection solution for monitoring, collecting and reporting connection data and/or attributes for endpoint computing devices making a connection to a network for use in analyzing user behavior and device connectivity efficiencies. Embodiments include IP connections wherein the universal connections data collection module is notified by the OS of IP connection events. Embodiments may include a standalone mode of the universal connections data collection solution and add-on modes wherein the universal connections data collection solution integrates with a third party connection manager using an API to communicate. The universal connections data collection solution monitors the state of network connections by enumerating connections, comparing the list of active connections to the last known snapshot of the network state to determine a network state change (e.g., new connection, change in connection state, disconnection), and periodically updating the statics of the connected network. Network connection details may be exported in the form of connection logs.

摘要: Systems in accordance with the present invention can include a tip contactable with a media, the media including a phase change material in an embodiment (or polarity-dependent memory material or other memory material in other embodiments) disposed between a substrate and an overcoat. The overcoat is a co-deposited film having a conductive portion and a substantially non-conductive portion, the co-deposited film conducting current more efficiently through the overcoat than across the overcoat. The overcoat substantially directs the current so that a portion of the phase change material directly beneath the tip is heated to a sufficient temperature such that the structure of the material become disordered. The current is then removed from the phase change material, which is quickly cooled to form an domain having a resistivity larger than the crystalline bulk structure.

摘要: A flexible air hose comprises a plurality of hose sections, each having at one end a female portion and at an opposite end a male portion coupled inside the female portion of an adjacent hose section. A loop coupling fastener is attached to an inside surface of the female portion, and a corresponding area of an outside surface of the male portion. A single slit extends from an end edge of the female portion of the hose section longitudinally along the hose section such that the female portion can be opened along the slit to facilitate positioning the male portion inside the female portion. A flap can be provided to cover the slit, and extend past the slit end to reduce air leakage. A wear strip can be wrapped around the hose.

摘要: Apparatus within a time division multiplex telecommunications system for terminating local traffic at a local distributing center and eliminating the need for use of channels to the switching center. The system employs time slots for calls to the switching center and other time slots for local calls. Digits representing the called line are stored in a register at the calling station. The register is interrogated after sufficient digits have been stored to inidicate the destination as local or switching center. When a local call is recognized, a bistable in the local distributing center is set. When the end of dialing signal is received, a code is generated to release the channel connection to the main exchange and to complete the call locally over time slots dedicated to serving local calls.

摘要: The present invention relates to a water treatment composition comprising blended phosphates which exhibit a synergistic effect for corrosion and scale control and as a sequestering chemical treatment of potable water and more particularly to chemistry which lowers the phosphate concentration necessary to achieve effective corrosion prevention. The composition controls corrosion and cleans the water distribution line by removing scale, tuberculation, and biofilm. Sequestration of the heavy metals and soft metals such as iron, manganese, calcium, and magnesium provides complete solubility of the material to be removed from the metal surface. The inclusion of citric acid with the blended phosphate formula improves drinking water quality in 2 ways: 1) a reducing agent reverses the oxidation of metals which would convert metal to metal salts (copper/lead, etc.) and 2) by chelation, it encapsulates transition metal cations, especially Manganese and Iron, found while source water passes through the treatment process and the drinking water distribution piping network.

摘要: According to embodiments of the present invention, a probe storage medium includes a conductive layer as an electrode and a metal, metalloid, and/or non-metal doped diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer disposed on the conductive layer. A probe array may be positioned close proximity with the layer of doped DLC. An individual probe in the probe array may have an atomic force microscope tip. The probe storage medium may be written to by applying a current, voltage, and/or power to the tip between a thresholds current, voltage, and/or power value and a limiting current, voltage, and/or power value. The current, voltage, and/or power cause the layer of DLC to change conductance. The probe storage medium may be read by applying a current, voltage, and/or power to the tip below a threshold current, voltage, and/or power value and sensing the conductance.
