摘要： A system and method for adding a gateway to a first device having a first network connector. An embedded gateway module includes a processor, a memory connected to the processor and first and second network interfaces, wherein the first network connection uses a first network protocol and the second network connection uses a second network protocol. The embedded gateway module is installed in the first device, wherein installing includes sharing the first device's first network connector. The gateway then connects the gateway through the first network to a device manager application at a remote location, connects the gateway module to the second network, installs gateway program data for receiving data from a second device over the second network and storing the received data as channels of data and installs presentation program data for presenting the channel data to applications running on the cloud.

摘要： A method of orienting a virtual camera for rendering a virtual endoscopy image of a lumen in a biological structure represented by a medical image data set, e.g., a colon. The method comprises selecting a location from which to render an image, determining an initial orientation for the virtual camera relative to the data set for the selected location based on the geometry of the lumen, determining an offset angle between the initial orientation and a bias direction; and orienting the virtual camera in accordance with a rotation from the initial orientation towards the bias direction by a fractional amount of the offset angle which varies according to the initial orientation. The fractional amount may vary according to the offset angle and/or a separation between a predetermined direction in the data set and a view direction of the virtual camera for the initial orientation. Thus the camera orientation can be configured to tend towards a preferred direction in the data set, while maintaining a good view of the lumen and avoiding barrel rolling effects.

The sensor has a user-operable testing actuator that tests a condition sensing device in the sensor. A method of operating the sensor includes generating, in response to actuation of the testing actuator in the absence of a predetermined condition, a transmission from the sensor including information indicating that a test of the sensor has been conducted. The method further includes receiving by the control panel, in response to actuation of the testing actuator in the presence of the predetermined condition, a transmission from the sensor indicating that the control panel should not report to a monitoring station.
