摘要: To allow a fit-in state between electrical connectors to be firmly maintained, elastic arm-shaped members 23d provided to a conductive shell member 23 so as to elastically displace to a direction orthogonal to a fit-in direction of a mating connector 10 are each provided with an engaging piece 23e having a connector contact surface 23e1 which the mating connector 10 faces from the depth in the fit-in direction and a shell contact surface 23e2 which a part of the conductive shell member 23 faces from the front in the fit-in direction. When an external force is applied to the mating connector 10 in a fit-in state to a removing direction opposite to the fit-in direction, the engaging piece 23e is brought into a state of being interposed between the mating connector 10 and the conductive shell member 23. This avoids a situation in which the engaging piece 23e is removed from the mating connector 10 to cause a lock release.

摘要: A good mating state can be obtained while reducing interference of transmission signals by a simple configuration. A contact portion is provided at a single location on each of mating recessed portions of signal contact members arranged in a multipolar shape, contact portions are provided at a plurality of locations for a mating recessed portion of an integrated power-source contact member, and signal transmission is carried out through the single-location contact portion provided at the single location for each of the mating recessed portions of the signal contact members. As a result, particularly, interference in high-frequency transmission is reduced to obtain good transmission characteristics, while sufficient mating retention force is configured to be obtained by causing the contact portions at the plurality of locations provided on the mating recessed portion of the power-source contact member to be in a state in which the contact portions are in contact with contact portions of a mating counterpart by the plurality of locations.

摘要: By a simple configuration, contact members can be well retained with a housing in a mutually opposed state, and productivity can be improved. When the contact members in the mutually opposed state are to be attached to the housing, a contact retainer prepared by molding in advance is used by disposing the contact retainer in part of the contact opposed region. As a result, the contact members are stably retained in the mutually opposed state even in injection molding molds. Even in a case in which the contact members normally cannot be retained in the mutually opposed state in the injection molding molds, the housing and the contact members can be integrally molded by well retaining the contact members in the mutually opposed state by using the contact retainer and a contact retainer auxiliary and executing an injection molding process.

摘要: The contact pressure of a contact member with respect to a connection target can be prevented well from being reduced by a simple configuration. An electrically-conductive shell covering a surface of an insulating housing opposed to a surface facing a wiring board is provided with an intermediate connecting portion extended from a position in the vicinity of a fixed base portion of the contact member toward the wiring board, and the intermediate connecting portion is joined with the wiring board. By virtue of this, deformation such as warpage of the insulating housing and the electrically-conductive shell upon insertion of the connection target is suppressed by retaining force of the intermediate connecting portion, and reduction in the contact pressure of the contact member with respect to the connection target is configured to be prevented.

摘要: The retainability and electric connection reliability of a plate-shaped signal transmission medium can be increased by a simple configuration while the operability of an actuator is improved. Pre-pressing protruding portions which create a clicking sensation of a turning operation of the actuator are provided in part of a region in a longitudinal direction of the actuator so that the pressing force of the pre-pressing protruding portions with respect to the plate-shaped signal transmission medium is applied to the part in the longitudinal direction of the actuator, and the pressing force of the pre-pressing protruding portions with respect to the plate-shaped signal transmission medium is prevented from being largely increased even when the actuator is enlarged in the multipolar arrangement direction. As a result, the operating force for the actuator is reduced, and, on the other hand, the final fixation state of the plate-shaped signal transmission medium is configured to be good by maintaining the pressing force of the medium pressing portion.

摘要: Occurrence of unnecessary conduction or damage upon insertion of a plate-shaped signal transmission medium can be prevented by a simple configuration. The rigidity relation between a medium abutting portion and a coupling beam portion of a contact member is configured so that a contact point portion of the contact member is positioned in the interior of a contact housing portion in a stage before a plate-shaped signal transmission medium is sandwiched when the plate-shaped signal transmission medium is to be inserted to the interior of a medium insertion path along a medium guide surface of an insulating housing. By virtue of this, the contact point portion of the contact member is configured to be maintained in a state in which it is lowered below the medium guide surface upon insertion of the plate-shaped signal transmission medium so that the contact point portion of the contact member does not contact the plate-shaped signal transmission medium.

摘要: The contact state of a signal transmission medium and contact members is enabled to be maintained well by a simple configuration. Medium pressing portions of an actuator, which is subjected to a moving operation so as to electrically connect contact portions of contact members, which are in a multipolar arrangement, and a signal transmission medium (FPC, FFC, or the like) to each other, are disposed at the same positions as the contact portions of the contact members in the direction of the multipolar arrangement. The medium pressing portions of the actuator at the positions directly opposed to the contact portions of the contact members are configured to press the signal transmission medium when the actuator is moved to a working position so that the contact pressures applied from the medium pressing portions of the actuator to the signal transmission medium are reliably applied to the contact portions of the contact members without being dispersed.
