摘要: A universal cutter for catheters includes a lead fixation feature having a deflectable lower portion and a hinge portion. The deflectable lower portion and the hinge portion of the lead fixation feature allow the cutter to hold and secure leads having varying outer diameters. The cutter holds the lead in place while a guide catheter is moved in a proximal direction toward a blade on the cutter to be split from about the lead.

摘要: An intravascular catheter having an expandable inflation region adapted for centering a radiation dose in a body lumen for a period of time sufficient to permit delivery of a radiation dose to the body lumen. The catheter includes a delivery lumen, and a blind internal lumen for receiving a wire having a radiation source located at the distal end of the wire. The blind internal lumen is received in the delivery lumen of the catheter. The blind internal lumen prevents contamination of the radiation source by fluids from the body lumen. The radiation source is advanced through the blind internal lumen towards the inflation region of the catheter. The inflation region includes a plurality of balloon lobes at the distal end of the catheter. The plurality of balloon lobes, when inflated, can center the radiation source within a curved section of the body lumen.

摘要: A system for linking together and publishing websites and audio files together, as one unit, by anyone on the Internet, generating a single link referred to as a Sound Link that is able to then be accessed and launched from anywhere on the Internet by a user, generating a combination visual and audio experience for the user who clicks on the Sound Link that was generated. The Sound Link launches the website while playing the audio file associated with that website. A website is any content that is accessible on the Internet including full websites and their components including text documents, graphics, games, photos, advertisement, files, video, and other website content. Audio includes any audio file that is accessible on the Internet. The system is referred to as an Audio-Website Link Generation and Access System for purposes of describing the system.

摘要: A device, system and method for automatic audio recording and publishing. An electronic device having an audio recording ability includes an audio sharing program that enables a user to input a single command to execute the program and begin recording audio with the electronic device without the need for further input to the device. As a result, a user is able to quickly capture their thoughts or other audio related to an event before the moment has passed. After another single command, preset time period or trigger action such as ending the recording or hanging up, the sharing program automatically publishes the recorded audio according to one or more preselected or default settings. In particular, the user is able to preselect one or more media outlets to which the audio should be published as well as the format and time at which the audio should be published.

摘要: A breakaway hemostasis hub for a catheter or introducer sheath includes a splittable or separable housing, a seal within the housing, an actuator partially slidably disposed within the housing, a pair of spring retainer members in the housing each adapted to receive at least one spring, and a pair of actuator retainer members adapted to retain the seal, the actuator, and the spring retainer members in the housing. The actuator is operable to assume a closed position and an open position and includes a dilator member configured to dilate the seal when the actuator is in the open position. The hub is splittable or separable into two generally symmetrical sub-assemblies to facilitate cutting the catheter for retraction from the patient's body without displacing its payload.

摘要: A method of interactive, automated registration, negotiation and marketing for combining products and services from one or more vendors together to be sold as a unit allows vendors of products and services to post information about their products/services on a server, preferably accessible over the internet, for inclusion within bundles or collections of products and/or services. Bundle vendors then generate bundles of products/services by viewing and selecting available products/services from the posted available products/services. Members accessing the bundle system are able to view, select and purchase bundles generated and posted by the bundle vendors. The members and vendors preferably access the bundle server over the internet through the public switched telephone network. When a bundle is purchased by a member, the products/services within the bundle are then shipped or provided to the member either as a unit or separately from the participant vendors of the products/services included within the bundle. A bundle tracking system allows both members and vendors to obtain status information regarding currently existing bundles. Using the bundle system of the present invention, vendors can post products/services for inclusion in bundles advertised and sold to members accessing the bundle system.

摘要: A hemostasis seal configured for use in a splittable hemostasis valve, hub, or introducer sheath to permit passage of a medical device therethrough. The seal provides a substantially fluid-tight seal around the medical device without causing excessive frictional resistance that would otherwise unduly restrict movement of the medical device through the seal. In one embodiment, the seal includes first and second resilient seal portions each having a contoured mating surface to provide a first fluid seal with respect to the medical device. The seal also may include one or more projecting portions and one or more mating receiving portions which interact to provide a second fluid seal with respect to the medical device.
