摘要： This panel notching machine comprises a trackway along which synchronously moving chains push a panel under a reciprocating cutter head. Power is applied to the chains by an hydraulic motor. Stopping the oil flow stops the chain motion so precisely that panels can be notched by a reciprocating cutter head and will interfit with any other panels to form a corner joint in a crate or shipping container. Besides notching, the machine will position parts for boring or for any other machining operation which must take place at fixed linear distances.

摘要： A collapsible shipping container having its vertical walls provided with tongues and notches to interfit, and corner locking members to hold the sides together. The base fits within the setup sides. Each side has a unitary leg which includes a base support. Locking means are provided to hold the base in position, and an alternative design prevents shearing between the base support and the leg, should the loaded box be dropped on a corner.

摘要： A pallet type shipping container comprises a pallet with floor boards which extend a short distance beyond the pallet runners, and side panels so notched as to form a box joint at the corners. Panels are locked together by angular corner posts which engage slots on the side of the panel. Lifting the panels off the pallet is prevented by an inwardly facing reinforcing strip on the side panels which locks under the overhanging portion of the pallet floor boards. Knocked-down panels lie flat for return shipment.
