摘要： A roller apparatus is provided. The roller apparatus may include a bearing wheel configured to rotatably couple the roller apparatus to a roller shaft, and a resilient member radially disposed about the bearing wheel and configured to contact a guiderail at different magnitudes of loads. The resilient member may include a first section of a first diameter and a second section of a second diameter. The first section may be caused to deflect in response to loads within a first load range, while the second section may be caused to deflect in response to loads within a second load range. The resilient member may exhibit a stepwise increase in stiffness with a gradual increase in load.

摘要： A method of wear detection of a coated belt or rope includes connecting a wear detection unit to one or more monitoring strands and/or cords of a coated belt or rope. The coated belt or rope includes one or more baseline strands and/or cords exhibiting a first change in electrical resistance as a function of bending cycles of the belt or rope and one or more monitoring strands and/or cords exhibiting a second change in electrical resistance as a function of bending cycles of the belt or rope, greater than the first change in electrical resistance. An electrical resistance of the one or more monitoring strands and/or cords is measured via the wear detection unit. Using at least the measured electrical resistance of the one or more monitoring strands and/or cords, a wear condition of the belt or rope is determined.

摘要： A sound absorbing light fixture (42) installed in a surface system, such as an elevator ceiling system (40), of an enclosed interior, such as the interior (32) of an elevator cab (32) is presented. The light fixture (42) comprises a frame (46) disposed in fixed relationship to the surface system, the frame (46) having an interior rear surface and interior side surfaces extending outwardly from the rear surface to define a cavity (50). A light source (48) is supported by the frame (46) within the cavity (50). Additionally, a light diffuser (44) is disposed in fixed relationship to a front portion of the frame (46) between the light source (48) and the enclosed interior. The installed light fixture (42) enhances a sound absorption coefficient, e.g., above 0.6, of the surface system for a predetermined frequency range of sound energy, e.g., 300-600 Hz.
