Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for cooperative file distribution with receiver determined quality of services. A receiver obtains a file by selecting a target rate for downloading a file, identifying one or more unreliable data sources and one or more reliable data sources wherein each source contains one or more portions of the file, obtaining at least a portion of the file from the one or more unreliable data sources at a first rate, determining a throttle rate for downloading at least another portion of the file from the one or more reliable data sources, retrieving the at least another portion of the file from the one or more reliable data sources at a second rate, and adjusting the throttle rate such that an amount of data obtained from the one or more reliable data sources is minimized, and the target rate is maintained.

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, an electrical power meter, is disclosed. The electrical power meter includes a housing for containing electrical circuitry therein, the housing including at least one of voltage and current inputs, the housing including passages extending entirely therethrough, wherein the passages are configured to receive a CT lead therethrough, and wherein the CT leads are not electrically connected to the electrical circuitry therein; and a face plate operatively supported on a surface of the housing, wherein the face plate includes at least one of displays, indicators and buttons. It is envisioned that the through passages are located along a side of the housing.

Abstract:
A personal protective shield, which comprises a central panel; at least two lateral panels; and hinged connections between the central panel and the lateral panels. The protective shield has a folded configuration for carrying it and for attaching to it other equipment, in which the aforementioned lateral panels are folded against the central panel, and an expanded configuration for carrying out its protective function, in which the aforementioned lateral panels are angularly set off from the central panel. The central panel and the lateral panels are made of bulletproof plate materials. The central panel may have a curved configuration adapted to fit the back of the user, and the lateral panels may have curved configurations matching that of the central panel.
Abstract:
A cage-type device for trapping, storing, transporting and releasing a queen bee, possible with one or more worker bees. The cage comprises two slidingly attachable members which constitute bottom and roof members and also side-walls, in which there are provided entry and exit ports for the queen bee and for worker bees, which can be opened or closed, as required, by changing the relative position of the two slideable members. There is also provided a comparatively large opening, preferably in the floor section, for scooping up the queen bee, which can also be closed by a sliding motion of the two members. According to one embodiment, a compartment for a supply of bee food is provided. According to another embodiment, a slot of predetermined shape can be provided in one of the walls through which a movable member can be inserted, which makes it possible to move the queen bee to a desired location in the cage.

The subject matter discloses an apparatus residing within an RF chip, comprising: a detection unit for detecting IQ mismatch in an IQ signal; an analog calibration module comprising a first analog calibration mechanism for calibrating IQ mismatch in the phase component and a second analog calibration mechanism for calibrating IQ mismatch in the amplitude component; and a control unit for determining a calibration sequence of the IQ signal.
Abstract:
A pronged clamp apparatus for attaching a soda bottle to a soda machine includes prongs to attach the bottle to the soda machine and a locking mechanism to lock the bottle to the machine at least during carbonation. The apparatus also comprises a flexible seal to facilitate a closed carbonation environment and a ring to constrict the prongs underneath a ringed extension of the bottle thereby lifting the bottle towards the seal to clamp the bottle to the flexible seal.
