Abstract:
There is disclosed a method including receiving sensor data extracted from one or more physical sensors, using the extracted sensor data and a context model to perform a first level context determination, and examining the at least one condition. If the examining indicated that the at least one condition was fulfilled, the context model is adapted on the basis of the sensor data, otherwise adaptation data formed on the basis of the sensor data is provided to a second level context determination. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing indications regarding recommended content may include a processor. The processor may be configured to receive an indication of a recommended content item, determine a recommendation criteria associated with the recommended content item, select a graphical symbol for presentation in association with the recommended content item in which the graphical symbol is indicative of the recommendation criteria associated with the recommended content item, and provide for display of the graphical symbol.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for promoting a device (105). In the method a promotion mode is enabled on the device (105) and a biometric identification of a user (110) of the device (105) is performed. After this, and based on the biometric identification, it is determined whether the user (110) is unknown whereby a reward procedure is performed on the device (105). The biometric identification may involve capturing an image (11) of the user (110) with a camera (107) associated with the device (105), and the device (105) may be owned by another user (100). The invention concerns also an apparatus and a computer program.
Abstract:
Various embodiments relate to a context recognition. Classification of a context is performed by using features received from at least one sensor of a client device, and model parameters being defined by a training data to output a result and a likelihood of the context. The result is shown to the user, who provides feedback regarding the result. The features, result, likelihood, and the feedback are stored, whereby the model parameters are adapted using the features, result, likelihood and the feedback to obtain adapted model parameters. The result, likelihood and the feedback can also be used for performing confidence estimation to obtain a confidence value. The confidence value can then be used for performing an action, e.g. adding a new sensor, adding a new feature, changing a device profile, launching an application.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code may be configured to receive data corresponding to a first media content from a user captured by a first media capturing device. The apparatus may be configured to determine at least one media capturing parameter of the first media content to be changed. The apparatus may be configured to cause information regarding the media capturing parameter of the first media content to be changed to be transmitted to at least the first media capturing device. The apparatus may be configured to receive a second media content from a user captured by the first media capturing device, wherein the second media content differs from the first media content by at least the media capturing parameter to be changed. Corresponding methods and computer program products are also provided.
Abstract:
A method and a system is offered to enable communicating a status of a user (320, 322, 324) to another user. The system uses avatars (350, 352, 354) to display status information, and the avatar moves (350, 354) according to a gesture recorded by the sending user. The recording of the gesture may be done e.g. with the help of motion sensors.
Abstract:
An apparatus (300) comprises—one or more inputs (IN1, IN2) to receive two or more different audio signals (S1, S2),—an input (IN—VDI1) to receive a direction signal (SVDI1) and—a signal processing unit (100) arranged to generate a processed audio signal (SAUDIOI) from said two or more different audio signals (S1, S2), said processed audio signal (SAUDIO1) comprising an enhanced audio signal (SENC1) corresponding to a sound (SND2) originating from a location (x2y2) indicated by said direction signal (SVDI1).
Abstract:
A method, devices and an internet service is disclosed for carrying out an improved search. Audio features formed from audio data are associated with the image data. The audio features are formed by applying a transform to the audio data, for example to form mel-frequency cepstral coefficients from the audio data. A search criterion for the audio features is specified in addition to a search criterion for the image data. A search is carried out to find image data, and the search criterion for the audio features is used in the search.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing object based media mixing may include at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least receiving an indication of shared content to be provided to a plurality of group members, receiving a selection of a region of interest within the shared content, receiving social interaction media associated with at least one of the group members, and mixing the shared content with the social interaction media to provide mixed content. The mixed content may be dynamically modified to avoid overlaying the social interaction media over the region of interest. A corresponding method and computer program product are also provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus for identifying media item similarities may include a processor. The processor may be configured to receive a modified playlist. The modified playlist may include representations of original playlist media items and a representation of a target media item. The modification to the playlist may involve the introduction of the representation of the target media item to the playlist. The processor may also be configured to modify a recommendation engine based on feedback generated in response to the target media item having been played as part of the modified playlist. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.
