Abstract:
Disclosed is a receptacle for attachment to the edge of a horizontal work surface, comprising a mounting bracket that is adapted to slideably engage the edge of a work surface, and a waste container that is removably attachable to the bracket. The bracket includes an open center area forming an aperture for accepting and holding the waste container in a working position. The bracket can be attached without the use of specialized mounting hardware. Debris can be moved from the edge of the work surface, and deposited into the receptacle. The device can be installed and removed as needed, which prevents the need for permanent installation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel wellbore treatment methods and fluids using compositions formed from an aqueous medium, a regularly substituted hydrophilically functional polysaccharide having a degree of substitution from about 0.1 to about 0.5, wherein the percent of insoluble polysaccharide is about 10% or less, and a crosslinker. The wellbore treatment fluid is particularly useful for fracturing a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore.
Abstract:
A system and method for creating and implementing telecommunications services are disclosed. The system comprises a service development platform that includes a communications module, and application server, and at least one auxiliary module. The communications module enables data to be transmitted to and from the development platform to facilitate the implementation of telecommunications services. The application server can store a telecommunications service creation tool that can be used by an individual to generate code needed to implement the telecommunications service or that can automatically generate code needed to implement the telecommunications service. The application server can also store the code needed to implement the telecommunications service and can transmit data to and receive data from the communications module as necessary for implementing the telecommunications service. The auxiliary module can perform various functions and can be accessed by the application server in implementing the telecommunications service.
Abstract:
A one piece fabric wrap has multiple elongated pockets sewn into an inner surface. A cylindrical rope light or heat tape is positioned within the multiple pockets and hook and loop material is attached to an outer perimeter of the inside surface to provide closure of the fabric wrap around frost challenged plants. A drawstring attached along a bottom edge of the fabric wrap secures the assembled foliage wrap around the base of the plant.
Abstract:
A remote micro-controlled oil lamp having a base with a crystal housing for a electrically activated wick is described. Mounted within the base is a coupled photodetector and audio circuit which respectively receives and transmits signals for lighting the wick and sounding a prerecorded message to signify an on and off condition. The wick is provided in the form of a pair of electrodes which are electrically activated via the photodetector by a remote laser source and/or a manual switch mounted within the base. When the lamp is either remotely or manually activated the electrodes generate a spark across a combustible fluid filled cylindrically shape gap as a catalyst to produce a candle light or flame. A micro-pump circuit is mounted within the base of the reservoir to ensure an adequate supply of fuel for an extended source of candle light.
Abstract:
A portable lifesaving device that prevents a falling weight bar from injuring the neck while a weightlifter performs a bench press, including, two rods forming a “V” shape guard that rests horizontally over the neck (chest height) and is supported by two pillars at one end and by the chest at the other end, two pillars resting on the bench closely on each side of the neck, a crossbeam(s) that secures the pillars, a cushion under the converging end of the rods protecting the chest, two hooks positioned under the bottom of the bench, two bars the hooks to the top outside of the pillars preventing lateral collapse of the device, elastic straps pulling the bars and hooks inward to secure the hooks under the bench, and a bar on the crossbeam preventing a fallen weight bar from rolling onto the head.

Abstract:
A system for dispensing liquid material onto a moving substrate includes a liquid dispenser fluidly connected to a source of liquid material and a source of pressurized air. The liquid dispenser includes a pair of outer liquid material outlets and a plurality of inner liquid material outlets therebetween spaced along a common axis at one end of the dispenser for dispensing a plurality of strands of liquid material toward the substrate. The liquid dispenser further includes a pair of air outlets associated with each of the inner liquid material outlets and a single air outlet associated with each of the outer liquid material outlets for emitting pressurized air that is operable to oscillate the dispensed strands in directions predominantly parallel with the common axis of the liquid material outlets during flight toward the substrate to form an overlapping pattern of liquid material on the moving substrate. Methods for dispensing liquid material onto a moving substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A high voltage proximity warning system, precise, easy to use, easy to install, rugged and weatherproof, has a control panel which is located in the cab of an excavator, other heavy equipment or vehicle, such that it is readily accessible to the operator during equipment operation and is connected to one or more strategically located sensor antenna(s). The control panel is designed to be used with or without gloves, in a position where it is readily visible. It is electrically connected to the equipment's power source. At least one high voltage proximity sensor is mountable to the vehicle and is in wired or wireless communication with the control panel.
