Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and system for peer-to-peer advertising between mobile communication devices. A subsidy program is set up based on a profile of an advertiser having at least one advertising media. A qualified subscriber is identified for the advertiser based on a profile of a subscriber. One or more advertisers and subsidy programs for the qualified subscriber is selected. In addition, when a communication transmission is received from a source communication device, at least one advertising media is associated with the communication transmission and the communication transmission is transmitted from a source communication device to a destination communication device.
Abstract:
A method for integrating a ventilator device with a monitoring device and other medical devices that allows the function of the monitoring device and medical devices to automatically change based on initiation of a respiratory therapy procedure. In addition, modification of behavior on the part of the ventilator is automatic in response to activation of a medical procedure from the medical device or the monitoring device.
Abstract:
The disclosed anesthesia systems provide an integrated, extendable clinical center and clinician/anesthesia office that accommodates for physical separation of clinical and clerical functions. The disclosed anesthesia systems allow for a portion of the system to be brought closer to the patient such that clinical controls can be accessed while tending to the patient airway, without compromising office space available to the clinician or crowding the patient area.
Abstract:
A system comprises business logic operable for managing and administering company entities, records, documents, equity instruments, and stakeholders, a database storing data associated with the business logic, integration logic operable to integrate the business logic and its associated data with existing enterprise systems and data associated therewith, and a graphical user interface presenting a hierarchical tree view of the company entities, records, documents, equity instruments, and stakeholders.
Abstract:
A preferred embodiment provides a reconfigurable and removable cover securely fixed to an exterior of a hive structure. The preferred material of the cover provides both temperature and humidity control through use of various layers which allow proper air flow. Temperature control is provided by a novel combination of heat absorptive and heat reflective layers and surfaces. A reduction of heat loss in the hive structure reduces the amount of energy required to keep the hive at the desired temperature thereby preserving food resources and preventing colony collapse. The heat reflective layers cool the hive in the summer by reflecting solar radiation.
Abstract:
A method for providing a pressure reference level for pressure triggering a ventilator responsive to a spontaneous breathing attempt by a patient. In the method, the patient connection of the breathing circuit is capped or plugged. A gas flow is then provided through the breathing circuit and is altered to an amount that causes the flow resistance properties of the breathing circuit to generate a desired gas pressure in the breathing circuit suitable for use as a reference pressure by the ventilator for pressure responsive triggering. During the operation of the ventilator, gas flow in a corresponding amount serves as a bias flow in the breathing circuit to assist breathing by the patient. The bias flow also generates the reference pressure level in the breathing circuit. A reduction in pressure from the pressure level resulting from inhalation by the patient triggers the operation of the ventilator.

Abstract:
The specification describes anesthesia systems with an integrated, extendable clinical center and clinician/anesthesia office that accommodates for physical separation of clinical and clerical functions. The disclosed anesthesia systems allow for a portion of the system to be brought closer to the patient such that clinical controls can be accessed while tending to the patient airway, without compromising office space available to the clinician or crowding the patient area.
