摘要： A storage battery is provided comprising a positive electrode of vanadium, a negative electrode of zinc, and an electrolyte of potassium hydroxide dissolved in alcohol or glycol. Upon charging, the vanadium oxidizes to vanadium pentoxide and zinc oxide is reduced to the metal. The reverse reactions occur during discharge.

摘要： A rechargeable battery is provided such that the positive electrode comprises lead dioxide, the negative electrode comprises a metal selected from the group consisting of iron, zinc, cadmium, lanthanum/nickel alloys and titanium/zirconium alloys, and the electrolyte is an aqueous alkali-metal acetate. Upon discharge, the lead dioxide is reduced to lead oxide, and the electrolyte remains unchanged. The reactions are reversed when the battery is charged.

摘要： A stool for supporting an adult and child includes a plurality of floor engaging legs extending substantially vertically and a seat mounted rigidly on the legs. The seat includes a main seating portion arranged horizontally and having a top surface for the adult to sit on and a bottom connected to at least some of the legs. The main seating portion has a rounded perimeter extending through an arc of at least 180°. The seat has a tongue portion integrally attached to the main seating portion and projecting horizontally from one side. The tongue portion has a top surface for the child to sit on and two opposite edges which taper inwardly towards an outer end. The adult and child are able to sit adjacent each other on the stool. In an exemplary version, the main seating portion has a minimum horizontal width of at least 35 cm.

摘要： Two embodiments of a molded plastic container/closure combination are described. Each can be structured to provide a child resistant opening feature and, optionally, a tamper-evident feature. In both embodiments, the closure has radially extending bayonets arranged around an outer skirt, which bayonets can be rotated into a position underlying semi-annular ribs in a beam molded integrally with the sidewall of the container. Rotation of the closure in the unlocking direction is opposed by a structure which requires depression of a release tab downwardly. In one embodiment, depression of the release tab requires that a frangible element first be fractured and removed from the container sidewall. In the second embodiment, depressing the release tab is made possible by a living hinge formed on one side of the release tab.

The hydrodynamic heater includes a hydrodynamic chamber disposed within an interior cavity of the hydrodynamic heater. The hydrodynamic chamber is operable for selectively heating a fluid present within the hydrodynamic chamber when the heating apparatus is connected to a fluid supply source. The hydrodynamic heater includes an inlet port fluidly connected to a discharge port of the heat exchanger, and a discharge port fluidly connected to an inlet port of the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger core disposed within an interior cavity of the heat exchanger. A wall at least partially defines the interior cavity of the hydrodynamic heater and the interior cavity of the heat exchanger.

摘要： A rotary spray washer for heavy duty applications. Each spray device in the system comprises a rotary coupling and two sets of radially extending spray arms. Each set of arms has nozzles at the distal ends to direct water generally toward a target area but angled enough to produce a rotation-producing reaction torque. One set of arms is longer than the other whereby the shorter arms produce a reaction torque which limits the overall speed of rotation without the need for a friction brake or fluid pump brake.
