A method for designing or replicating a human or animal organ in the form of a functional model includes providing previously recorded structural-geometric data of the organ or organ part to be replicated, selecting reconstruction materials for the organ or organ part, allocating the structural-geometric data to the individually selected reconstruction materials, and carrying out a layered assembly by the model by successively applying site-selective assembly methods for at least one part of the reconstruction materials on the basis of an associated data set.

By setting switching instants of a switching circuit of a resonant power converter based on current in a resonant circuit reaching a current limit of a current limitation band, soft start-up of the power converter can be achieved to avoid or limit electrical stress with full control over a trade-off between time required to settle to a full load steady-state mode of operation and the amount of electrical stress permitted while soft start up switching frequency is automatically optimized.

Procedures are described for enhancing target system execution integrity determined by power fingerprinting (PFP): by integrating PFP into the detection phase of comprehensive defense-in-depth security; by deploying a network of PFP enabled nodes executing untrusted devices with predefined inputs forcing a specific state sequence and specific software execution; by embedding module identification information into synchronization signaling; by combining signals from different board elements; by using malware signatures to enhance PFP performance; by automatic characterization and signature extraction; by providing secure signature updates; by protecting against side-channel attacks; performing real-time integrity assessment in embedded platform by monitoring their dynamic power consumption and comparing it against signatures from trusted code, including pre-characterizing power consumption of the platform by concentrating on trace sections carrying the most information about the internal execution status; by using PFP from sequence of bit transitions to detect deviations from authorized execution of software in a digital processor.

A hull for a planing type watercraft has a front lift surface, a high lift surface, and a back planing surface. The high lift surface is adjacent a rockered keel area and between the front lift surface and the back planing surface. The center of dynamic lift on the high lift surface is at or in front of a point which is 15% of the hull length behind a total center of gravity of the hull under loading. At least the back one third of the high lift surface is cambered, and a beam of the high lift surface is greater than two thirds of the maximum width of the hull. The average camber of the front lift surface, the high lift surface, and the back planing surface together is less than or equal to zero.

A control device is provided for an aircraft, the aircraft having at least one undercarriage with one or more undercarriage wheels. A control mechanism interacts with the aircraft undercarriage and is configured to turn the undercarriage wheels relative to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. The control device has an alignment unit which is connected to the control mechanism and which is configured to control the turning of the undercarriage wheels by means of the control mechanism during at least one part of the landing or take-off phase of the aircraft in such a way that the running direction of the undercarriage wheels is aligned in the direction of a fixed point which may be a corrected fixed point situated below a fixed point by a compensation angle.

The method comprises receiving facsimile data corresponding to facsimile of a plurality of checks, constructing digitized images of the checks as a function of the facsimile data, gathering check data from each of the digitized images, and processing the check data according to a check processing procedure to settle transactions referenced by each of the checks.

The present invention generally relates to the monitoring and controlling of a semiconductor manufacturing environment and, more particularly, to methods and systems for virtual meteorology (VM) applications based on data from multiple tools having heterogeneous relatedness. The methods and systems leverage the natural relationship of the multiple tools and take advantage of the relationship embedded in process variables to improve the prediction performance of the VM predictive wafer quality modeling. The prediction results of the methods and systems can be used as a substitute for or in conjunction with actual metrology samples in order to monitor and control a semiconductor manufacturing environment, and thus reduce delays and costs associated with obtaining actual physical measurements.

In an open environment, a consensus building means for maintaining dependability throughout the entire life cycle of a target system between stakeholders is provided, thereby appropriately operating the target system in accordance with the content of an agreement between the stakeholders.A consensus building support tool provides a support for consensus building through an argument regarding an ordinary operation state of a target system. History obtained in the process of the consensus building is recorded in a database layer as an agreement graph. A monitoring node tool detects deviation from the ordinary operation state of the target system based on an actual operation state of the target system and the agreement graph. A contract generating tool extracts information data regarding the consensus building from the agreement graph when the deviation from the ordinary operation state is detected in the target system.
