The present invention is an image reading apparatus having a reading portion, and the apparatus includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire first data obtained by the reading portion reading a main scanning line in a state where a light source of the reading portion is turned on in a first light quantity, and second data obtained by the reading portion reading the main scanning line in a state where the light source of the reading portion is turned on in a second light quantity smaller than the first light quantity; a generation unit configured to generate difference data by subtracting the value of the second data from the value of the first data; and a determination unit configured to determine whether a mark arranged at a position corresponding to a home position of the reading portion has been detected on the main scanning line based on the difference data.

    摘要: A terahertz time-domain spectroscopic ellipsometry system includes a sample stage, a terahertz emitter configured to provide pulses of terahertz radiation with preselected polarization components to illuminate a sample on the sample stage along an incident direction, and a coherent terahertz detection system arranged to coherently detect pulses of terahertz radiation from the terahertz emitter along an emerging direction after at least one of reflecting from or passing through the sample. The sample stage is rotatable to vary a relative angle between the incident direction and the emerging direction, and the coherent terahertz detection system substantially maintains alignment for amplitude and polarization detection as the relative angle is varied.

The abutment member moves between an abutment position and a retracted position, the holding member moves between a first position and a second position retracted from the first position, the abutment member is pushed by the leading edge of the sheet when the holding member is at the first position, with the push moving the holding member to the second position, the holding member is moved in a direction away from the first position so that the leading edge of the sheet is separated from the abutment surface, and the holding member moves from the second position to the first position when the abutment member is pushed by the sheet to the retracted position.

    摘要: In order to keep the load on the cables in a cable storage device as light as possible during the process of storing, and furthermore in order to keep the release of the cables as simple as possible, a cable storage device is provided in which at least on one side of the storage device a shoulder of a block is provided, which during storage is pushed down by the cable gripper, and as a result of this during storage the cable or cable end is practically not exposed to any transverse or longitudinal load. In this arrangement the block with the shoulder or shoulders is pushed upward by a spring and in this way ensures reliable clamping action in the storage device.
