Abstract: Systems and methods can quantify the tumor microenvironment for diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic response prediction by fusing different data types (e.g., morphological information from histology and molecular information from omics) using an algorithm that harnesses deep learning. The algorithm employs tensor fusion to provide end-to-end multimodal fusion to model the pairwise interactions of features across multiple modalities (e.g., histology and molecular features) and deep learning. The systems and methods improve upon traditional methods for quantifying the tumor microenvironment that rely on concatenation of extracted features.

Abstract: In some examples, an analyzer manager configured to select one of a program code analyzer, a static data analyzer, and an unused memory location analyzer for malware detection within memory of a system. The program code analyzer can be executed to evaluate instruction data for executing a computer program at a first set of memory locations within the memory for malware in response to being selected by the analyzer manager. The static data analyzer can be executed to evaluate static data for use by the computer program at a second set of memory locations within the memory for the malware in response to being selected by the analyzer manager. The unused memory location analyzer can be executed to evaluate null data indicative of unused memory locations at a third set of memory locations within the memory for the malware in response to being selected by the analyzer manager.

Abstract: An indexer retrieves a set of messages generated by a given data source of a plurality of data sources from a data storage. The indexer also processes the set of messages to generate processed data for the given data source and stores the processed data in a cache. The processed data includes a data file with data from the given data source and an index file identifying a location of the data file. The indexer determines when the processed data for the given generation source reaches a threshold size. The indexer also stores the data file of the processed data in the data storage and updates the index file for the processed data to identify the data storage as the location of the data file.

Abstract: A fluid separator includes a separator housing defining a longitudinal bore having first and second bore ends. Abstract: A method of detecting epithelial cancer is described that includes the steps of: (a) determining the level of beta defensin 3 (BD-3) and beta defensin 2 (BD-2) in a suspect sample obtained from a subject; (b) comparing the level of BD-3 to BD-2 determined in the suspect sample to obtain a suspect BD-3/BD-2 ratio, (c) comparing the suspect BD-3/BD-2 ratio to a healthy BD-3/BD-2 ratio to obtain a diagnostic BD-3/BD-2 ratio; and (d) characterizing the subject as having epithelial cancer if the diagnostic BD-3/BD-2 ratio is greater than 1. A microfluidic device for detecting epithelial cancer using the diagnostic BD-3/BD-2 ratio is also described.
