摘要: Methods of accurately determining DNA barcodes using a cylindrical nanopore system. The methods include steps of leveraging the average velocity of a double-stranded DNA segment passing through a single cylindrical nanopore that is measured through repeated scanning to accurately determine protein tag locations on the double-stranded DNA segment. As such, the methods provide for the accurate calculation of a barcode for the double-stranded DNA segment based on protein tag locations without underestimation or overestimate issues. The underlying concept and the methods are equally applicable to other multi-nanopore systems which use the dwell time and time of flight velocities to measure the barcodes.

摘要: A method of verifying telecommunications messaging traffic between two entities and monetizing the verified traffic. A receiving entity receives a message from a sending entity. The message includes a hash value computed by the sending entity based on the content of the message. The hash value is encrypted using a private key of the sending entity. The receiving entity identifies, within a blockchain, a Decentralized Identifier (DID) associated with the sending entity, resolves the DID into a DID document, and retrieves therefrom a public key associated with the sending entity. The receiving entity decrypts the hash value provided by the sending entity using the retrieved public key. The receiving entity independently computes a hash value based on the message content and compares the computed hash value against the decrypted hash value. If the hash values match, the message is verified and routed to its target recipient.

摘要: A method of modulating neural activity using a combination of electrical and optical stimulation transmitted via a gold nanoparticle covered nanoelectrode is presented. The combination of short-duration green visible light optical pulses with the complementary sub-threshold level electric current pulses are capable of producing action potentials in neurons. Cells were found to have a greater than a 5× survival rate using this hybrid stimulation method as compared to pure plasmonic/optical stimulation. The cell stimulation success rate was 3× greater with hybrid stimulation.

摘要: An access device configured to be installed in an air conditioning (AC) system or network. The access device includes a main body and a lid configured to threadedly engage the main body. A hollow cylindrical extension extends between a proximal end and a distal end, thereby establishing a passage through the main body.
