    Abstract: A ray tracing unit and method for processing a ray in a ray tracing system performs intersection testing for the ray by performing one or more intersection testing iterations. Each intersection testing iteration includes: (i) traversing an acceleration structure to identify the nearest intersection of the ray with a primitive that has not been identified as the nearest intersection in any previous intersection testing iterations for the ray; and (ii) if, based on a characteristic of the primitive, a traverse shader is to be executed in respect of the identified intersection: executing the traverse shader in respect of the identified intersection; and if the execution of the traverse shader determines that the ray does not intersect the primitive at the identified intersection, causing another intersection testing iteration to be performed. When the intersection testing for the ray is complete, an output shader is executed to process a result of the intersection testing for the ray.

A plurality of bus interfaces are configured to transfer data between the memory bus and the cache memory, and a plurality of snoop processors are configured to receive snoop requests from the memory bus. Each snoop processor is associated with a respective bus interface and each snoop processor is configured, on receiving a snoop request, to determine whether the snoop request relates to the bus interface associated with that snoop processor and to process the snoop request in dependence on that determination.

    Abstract: In some aspects, systems and methods provide for forming groupings of a plurality of independently-specified computation workloads, such as graphics processing workloads, and in a specific example, ray tracing workloads. The workloads include a scheduling key, which is one basis on which the groupings can be formed. Workloads grouped together can all execute from the same source of instructions, on one or more different private data elements. Such workloads can recursively instantiate other workloads that reference the same private data elements. In some examples, the scheduling key can be used to identify a data element to be used by all the workloads of a grouping. Memory conflicts to private data elements are handled through scheduling of non-conflicted workloads or specific instructions and/or deferring conflicted workloads instead of locking memory locations.

    Abstract: A reinforced arthroscope comprising external ribs to provide for a number of separate fluid channels, such as inflow, outflow and interstitial tissue drainage, when the arthroscope is slipped into a disposable external sheath. The external sheath includes projections that fit closely on either side of one or more of the external ribs to lock the sheath in place circumferentially relative to the arthroscope. The arthroscope is constructed to be sufficiently rigid so as to penetrate and move within a joint without damaging the rod optics inside. The externality of the arthroscope channels allow for cleaning and sterilizing the scope between uses.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a connector and a connector assembly. The connector has an outer housing and an inner housing detachably mounted in the outer housing for holding a terminal in the outer housing. The connector is adapted to be mounted on corresponding electrical equipment and mate with a corresponding mating connector. A first mating feature adapted to mate with the corresponding electrical equipment and a second mating feature adapted to mate with the corresponding mating connector are formed on the inner housing. In the present invention, when it is necessary to change the identification feature on the connector, only the inner housing or a part of the inner housing of the connector needs to be replaced without replacing the whole outer housing. Therefore, the cost is low and the use is very convenient.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to group travel between artificial reality (XR) destinations. Currently, users in an artificial reality (XR) experience cannot travel with a group to a specific destination or between destinations (e.g., to and from virtual worlds, levels, applications, etc.). Thus, some implementations assign users within a group in a multiplayer XR experience (e.g., a virtual lobby) a same session identifier. When the users select a destination, some implementations can provide a computing system hosting the destination with the session identifier associated with the users, such that the hosting computing system can ensure that the users travel to the same instance of the destination together. If a user does not already have the destination installed, some implementations can allow the user to acquire access rights to the destination, then travel to the same instance of the destination as the other users.
