The device may include a handle assembly including a rechargeable battery and a solar panel electrically connected to the rechargeable battery, a mounting assembly selectively attachable to the handle assembly, and a lighting assembly selectively attachable to the handle assembly, the lighting assembly including one or more light sources. The device may have a first configuration wherein the handle assembly is coupled to each of the lighting assembly and the mounting assembly; and a second configuration wherein the lighting assembly is attached to the mounting assembly and not coupled to the handle assembly. These configurations can resemble a flashlight and a headlamp, respectively.
