摘要: A system and method to cause an obfuscated non-functional device to transition to a starting functional state using a specified number of cycles are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: an electronic system comprising: a protected electronic device; and an embedded obfuscation unit coupled with the protected electronic device, the embedded obfuscation unit including an obfuscation state machine, the embedded obfuscation unit further including control logic to: obtain a randomized seed value; extract a first number of bits from the randomized seed value, the first number of bits representing an initial obfuscation state; extract a second number of bits from the randomized seed value, the second number of bits representing a starting functional reset state; determine a number of traversal cycles needed to traverse through states of the obfuscation state machine from the initial obfuscation state to the starting functional reset state; and initiate a state traversal operation to traverse through states of the obfuscation state machine from the initial obfuscation state to the starting functional reset state in the determined number of traversal cycles.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments relate to a drive-on leveling device that is adapted for single and tandem axle recreational trailers. It is placed beneath the trailer wheel that supports the weight of the vehicle, on the side that has the lower elevation. The leveling device's two-block assembly creates a level plane that is stationary. The incline block and chock block are each designed with tines that allow insertion into one another for quick leveling and chocking.

摘要: A system and method for authenticating and enabling functioning of a manufactured electronic device are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: an obfuscation code generator to produce an obfuscation code having a first portion representing manufacturing or physical characteristics of a particular paired system and a second portion representing one or more identifiers of the particular paired system, the obfuscation code generator to use the obfuscation code to obtain an authentication key; and an obfuscation state machine configured with a pre-defined quantity of state elements, a pre-defined quantity of the state elements being functional state elements, the obfuscation state machine being programmed with the authentication key to cause the obfuscation state machine to transition a protected device from an initial obfuscation state to a functional state, the embedded active obfuscation unit being further configured to load random bit-selected values from the obfuscation code into the obfuscation state machine for the values of the state elements and to load a different set of random bit-selected obfuscation values from the obfuscation code into the obfuscation state machine for the values of the functional state elements of the obfuscation state machine, thereby causing the protected device to transition from the initial obfuscation state through a set of obfuscation states before reaching the functional state for normal operation.

摘要: A specialized slot machine for conducting a wagering game using real time or live action event content are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: prompting a plurality of users at a plurality of geographically distributed user platforms to each submit a wager for entry as players into a real time live action wagering game; dividing a plurality of players of the real time live action wagering game into player groups, the player groups each having a pre-determined quantity of players, the players in each player group competing with other players of a same player group to advance through a pre-determined number of rounds to a main tournament, the players in each player group only playing against other members of the same player group during a given round; obtaining a set of real time or live event content via the data network while the plurality of players are playing the real time live action wagering game; partitioning the set of real time or live event content into a plurality of content categories; generating a raw score for each of the content categories based on real time information obtained via the data network; receiving from the players in each player group a bid corresponding to at least one of the content categories; scoring each of the players in each player group based on their bids and the raw score of the content category corresponding to their bids; ranking each of the players in each player group based on their score; and enabling a pre-determined quantity of highest ranked players from each player group to advance to a next round.

摘要: Embodiments for increasing clarity and expressiveness in network communications include: obtaining a message from a first user as part of a network-enabled conversation with a second user; applying at least one embellishment to the message to produce an embellished message, the embellishment including either an explicitly user-selected embellishment or an automatically generated embellishment based on content of the message; and causing transmission of the embellished message via a network to the second user. Embodiments include: receiving a message from a first user via a network, the message including configuration data for configuring embellishment properties of the message; decoding the configuration data and generating an embellished message with the corresponding embellishment properties, the embellishment properties including either an explicitly user-selected embellishment or an automatically generated embellishment based on content of the message; and displaying the embellished message for the second user as part of a network-enabled conversation with the first user.
